Dude, install w3 cache plugin and add free Cloudflaire to your site. You site speed must go up!

I think you can use w3 Cache plugin and also dont forget to set it up correctly and for images use images compression plugin. I exactly forgot the name sorry. And also Minify JS plugin and finally if you are not satisfied you can use CDN networks to boost your speed.

One more thing which I marked while lurking on the forum is using premium themes. If you use a premium theme, you don't need to push yourself for all these things as it's all taken care of most of the times. But, if there is a custom made theme, it's even better.
