I was at my solicitors today and she mentioned that I hadn't updated my will in a few years - and my circumstances have changed quite a bit since the last change.
This got me thinking what would actually happen to my business if I died tomorrow. My wife knows her side of the business very well, but what good is looking after customers if there aren't any.
Now alot of you guys are young and have no dependents, but I do know that some of you, like me, have mortgages to pay and families to support.
I therefore decided to include a section in my will giving my wife instructions on how to log in here, and what to post to ask for help. I also gave her a list of a few members I really value and trust to seek advice from.
I do have a fairly hefty life insurance policy - but thats a one off, she would still need to keep the business going to live comfortably.
Has anyone else given this much thought.
(don't worry I'm not dying - I'm actually one of the fittest and healthiest 39 year olds I know, but I'm also a risk taker and spend alot of time at sea by myself, and you just never know)
