my homepage is not showing up in google at no matter how much exactly i type it. Also, i checked it on a website and it says "appears to be penalized by Google"

Sign it up to webmaster tools, wait for the information to populate, and then check if there are any manual penalties against your website. If there are, then you can file a reconsideration request.

today, i was searching at for my homepage and one other page i was not able to find them indexed on google.

content is original and multilingual. also, it's a video downloading tool so there is not much content.

Usually when you are penalized, you will get a message on your webmasters saying what's the actual problem.
Did u try searching it with "site:yourdomain.com" on Google?

They are back with rankings. i didn't know what happened really because it was even showing on writing exact domain name and now it's ranking everywhere again.
