My video had been claimed!!!

I created that video by myself, just use some music but today it was claimed by claimant name IFPI. What the hell is that? How can it claimed my video, the content was mine. Has anyone been like this before?

File the dispuut, and explain all is yours, explain them were and how you got or made the footage an music, tell them the software u used and the licences you own to use it.
I get a fake claim once in a while, just blow their mind away with facts you own it.. they dropped every case on my footage...

I downloaded in some free music download site, but the problem is, if that music is copyright, I should get some copyright notices like "Included copyright content" or "Block worldwide/countries". But all I got is a god damn strike!
 
Did they claim the video or the music in the video? there is a difference in that...
The claim itself should show you the part in the video thats claimed, and it can be the footage or the music composition i believe..
the pic i added is one about a music composition, is yours the same?

You can show them your original and uncut footage, even without the music. I got my guitar playthrough video claimed too and just showed them the uncut/original footage. I'm not sure what those idiots are thinking.
 
It depends on the type of video content - Free Music are not always free, Incase you have used any images in the video then it could be tough. However, you can try to raise a dispute.
 
I've had experience dealing with IFPI. What track is it? I may be able to help out
 
If it is a music issue, from now on make sure you use only creative commons music. I have used it hundreds of times without any issue. You can download it free at incompetech.com. To be extra safe, you can add the creative commons info (licensed under creative common 3.0 etc. etc.)it is displayed under the downloads.

It's the song name Dangerous Woman by Ariana Grande, I used that for my video about my friend just for fun but then I was claimed by IFPI

ya she is a big star and that is her new single so you used copyright music even if its in the background you still will get a strike.
 
it could be the music .. otherwise try contacting them and explain them your situation
 
But why not some kind of copyright notices like "included copyright content" or "block worldwide" but a strike? Strikes can terminate my account
 
Really dude you used a popular artist's music in your video and are sitting here asking why you got a claim notice. smh
 
I think the guy's question was why he got a claim instead of a simple Content ID.

Short answer: It's up to the rights holders. Most simply issue Content IDs. Some, however, do hit harder and immediately file a claim.
