Pretty cool to hear my Uber driver bring up BHW as he was telling me what he did for work (programmer and app dev).

I didn't tell him I was a member here but told him I've read this forum plenty of times.

I wonder if he'll see this, he doesn't know my forum name.

Is Uber good money or something? A programmer should be in lines of code, not lines at a traffic light.

He said typically $14-$16 per hour; good nights $20 hourly.

In india it is. I saw may software guys left thier corporate jobs for uber working only at night.
Less traffic/ airport trips / less annoying peoples
 
Did he pick you up from your home or take you to your home?

Huge security flaw if you ask me.
 
35+ years ago when I lived in your neck of the woods I was a salesman during the day and had 2 different jobs in the evening.

One was a bartender and one was a taxi driver.

Uber is Taxi 2.0 and I would expect he is making OK money as a part time gig as I did pretty well as a cab driver.

Kudos for him for working hard and making hay while the sun is shining.
 
Hahaha at my country, uber has been down and joined with grab because very cheap and make driver less
