Guys this nofollow is not such a big deal:
What this means is that you should not rely on twitter for passing PR to whatever you link to, but its still an awesome way to tell the search engine about new pages on your site. So have at it, make sure that whenever google and yahoo come by they have good link food to chomp on.
- Yahoo ignores it completely and still passes link juice
- Google respects the nofollow for link juice calculation but still discovers these links

Good post. I've been telling people this for awhile now. Craigslist is no-follow too but it still helps rankings a lot.

Wrong and Wrong, Google does not use Nofollow for discovery they ignore the link and don't index the page it's pointing at. A nofollow is worthless in Google, it's no different than a non-hyperlink domain mention ie domain.com
As for Yahoo, yes they use it for discovery, they even index/cache the page it's pointing at but they do not give any ranking credit to nofollowed links so again worthless for boosting rankings but it will get your page indexed.
Ask.com treats a nofollow link the same as a ********, so if you want to inflate your rankings with nofollow links Ask is the one.

Google loves Twitter, I use both Twitter and Facebook at the same time and post the same message on both. I'm using it to quickly index my website, I do 12 - 20 pages a day. Example: I'll post: Free RedBox Movie Rental Codes http://www.makecashnow.biz/Free_Redbox_Movies.shtml

who cares any pagerank on twitter or that the urls are nofollow ... twitter isn't about link building - IT's ALL ABOUT THE TRAFFIC!!!
and twit has got really nice trafficbelive me, few weeks ago i just post my affiliate url an i got appx. 1400 hits within 30 min ( 53 sales ~ $1060 )
