It was a while I was on my twitter page, but when I checked it yesterday, I saw that it had pr5  Last time I was there had the PR1. The problem is that I do not know why I got so high PR. I have 1800 followers, but I have set twitter sider with 20K + followers, but not as high PR.

Now it's just to take advantage of it, but how:confused:

Correct me if im wrong but i thought twitter was nofollow?

It was actually no-followed a couple of months back, with the growing link popularity of Twitter and also recommendation of Matt Cutts :(

holy crap. I was pr0. Just checked now all 5 of mine are pr6! Too bad it is no-follow

Yeah I just checked and I'm a PR6 on my main twitter and PR 5 on my 2 secondary's :p

Links are not only nofollow but they are also shortened (tinyurl etc.) right?? Or is there a way to make the links appear as such?

Internal pagerank on high PR domains can be very arbitrarily awarded, and not to mention very inaccurate.

For example a 25 page thread on one of my forums, page #1 and #11 went to PR5 but pages immediately before or after (2, 10, 12) are all PR N/A. There is no difference what so ever between what's linking to the PR5 or PR N/A pages and the value from a link on either will be the same.

Other pages in the thread are scattered between PR4 and PR1.

Pagerank isn't accurate, and hasn't been for a very long time.

Whenever I shared deep links, the url was shortened, however when I entered top domain, it was not shortened.

Yes, I know that PR is not a good tool, you can not trust it, but I have noticed that my twitter page comes up in the G search results. Place NR2 of 110 000 for certain long-term keywords.
It's fun to see that Oprah 's twitter page has pr2( http://twitter.com/oprah ) with 1 200 000 followers.
G PR tool is perhaps not so good but I do not think it is so bad either, they just might value something we do not know that matters.

wow both of mine are pr4 and pr5 and i did nothing to it. i just set it up, used hummingbird, got 1000+ followers and let it be... now its pretty big in pr.

Just checked .. my twitter page is PR9, I have about 9000 followers currently.. but unfortunately its no-follow so its not a great help and as someone suggested above, PR is not an accurate tool..so it might be wrong as well..becase I sure did nothing to enhace my page rank!

I do get good amount of traffic from my twitter page to my blog every single day and thats good enough for g00gle to notice and rank my blog.

cheers!

who cares any pagerank on twitter or that the urls are nofollow ... twitter isn't about link building - IT's ALL ABOUT THE TRAFFIC!!!
and twit has got really nice traffic :P belive me, few weeks ago i just post my affiliate url an i got appx. 1400 hits within 30 min ( 53 sales ~ $1060 ) :D ...
- i have 21k followers and +1200 targeted followers / day :)
I really like twitter marketing
