Yeah, was just having similar thoughts today as my puppy lost a few of her puppy teeth from playing aggressively with her new chew toy (and watching some of my blognet sites all but die off...). That is to say: don't be afraid to lose a few baby teeth - those that grow back in their place will be that much stronger!

I myself would tell newbies that the best way to start out with SEO would be quality content and good quality back links. Sharing your content as well as interacting with those who follow you. Visitors are looking for fresh, new, unique good quality content.

Best way for any newbie to start out is with the basics and that is gaining relevant backlinks by doing simple things like blog commenting, forum posting, article submissions and work your way up.
