My sites dissapeared from Google!

you must be worried about that.

one of my site ranked #7 then it disappeared. Up to now (over 6months), it still nowhere on Google...

If it has only been a few days, then you cannot know what's happened at this stage.

Most likely, you will return to your original position.

However, if your site is important enough (traffic-wise), there is always a chance that you have been hit by a manual Google quality rater.

I had a celebrity website which was getting 30,000 uniques a day. To get this traffic, I was using the Google Trends method, basically just ripping off other articles about recent celebrity trends - altering them so they were unique, but the quality of the content was low.

One day, traffic went down to near zero. I checked the visotor log - sure enough, I had been visited by someone from mountain view.

So if your content was questionable and you were pulling a lot of traffic for an important keyword, then this is possibly what happened.

If not, then I expect you will be back up in a matter of days.

I hate to ask but did you get your traffic back?

I'm thinking might be a manual penalty of some sort because the content hasn't been updated in 1 year and the site is about electronics reviews so the ones i have are for products from 2009-2010. I'll add fresh content see if something happens.

Well can I ask those who are seeing the wierd movements, how old are your sites? cuz 3 of my sites are dancing everywhere and they must be about 6 months old whereas the 1 year old site hasn't done as much of a jump. Something wierd going on tho. They keep randomly switching pages whereas none of the other listings ever change positions lol

That's why this is strange for me. My sites are 3 years, respectively 2 years old. I've seen lots of new sites jumping around in the serps throughout the years, but my sites never moved before.

Today I also found something very disturbing:

One of the sites is main site for the hosting account. The other is an addon to it, hence there is a subdomain in the form http://secondSite.firstSite.com/ whis IS indexed by google. There is no way for that subdomain to be found naturally. So, somebody dug up and researched my stuff and linked to that subdomain. I have no explanation other than that.

I got a penalty on my website for tag stuffing..

I had so many tags, and then i realized its against google guidelines. by the time i took them off, i was already deindexed on google.

it was a algorithm penalty so im waiting for the next deep index..

This happened to one of my sites. I used SEO Booster Pro plugin which adds the search terms used by visitors as tags for each post. Finally, there were many Tags with slight keyword variation. My site went from #3 to nowhere. I removed all those tags and disabled that plugin. The very next day, my site came to #3 and stayed there for a couple of days and vanished again. So I believe its because of tags. Now its dancing, hoping to get it back to first page.

Something similar happened to me using auto tagger! Although I can't prove it was auto tagger as per say. I installed it 2 weeks later I was gone. I removed it and came back for a bit and then was gone again. Still not sure if it was auto tagger but I wont use that plugin anymore just incase.

anyone thought about banning the net range for it? i figured it might upset google a little though if they noticed..

My main site is a ghost as well. Gonna just have to wait it out.

I did notice something odd the other day though. I was in my webmaster tools looking to see if I could find an answer to wtf happened. I looked at my links section, and it said that I actually had negative 11 links. For some reason it counted my internal links as negative links which subtracted from my total links. Very strange.

Any update guys ? My site was back yesterday to old position for 30 mins :D So I hope it is not manual penalty...

yeah, i took off all my tags but still not showing up. my site is last for the keyword

Had the same issues with the Tag stuffing. I had one of those plugins installed next day site was out of the first 1000 (was number 3-5 before). Took it out and was back for about a week, then on Saturday, poof gone again. Then I did a site:mysite.com and noticed that they currently have all of those tag pages indexed still. Just waiting for them to check them again and cull them out. Checked to make sure the sitemap doesn't still have those other urls and it's all clean now.

Hoping to get back, but I'll never use another auto tagger plugin again. Also, the post a few weeks ago about the mispelled tags, yeah that didn't help the situation either.

Same thing happened to my website.

It is quite strange because it has never happened to my site. It is about 2 years old and is considered an authority site in its niche as well.

Hopefully things will go well.

damn it sucks.. especially when u have only 1 site which makes money for u ..

past 2 days my site got deindexed ... o man it hurts.. !

Google is trying to weed out low quality Adsense sites. If you have a site that scrapes content off other sites with Adsense on it, then Google is targetting you.
