14th Updates: Ranking is reduced to 35 from 33. I again tweet from another twitter profile and purchase 2000 retweets from fiverr vendor.

I wonder if these venders are some of the same people.... Regardless still paying attention to the case study. Good work!
 
Question... why do people do "live studies" like this rather than just doing what they say they're going to do and then posting a thread after? The problem with these "as we go" threads is that they get FILLED with garbage "hey man good luck" posts and anything actually useful gets drowned out in the white noise.
 
again fiverr service provider cancel work order and i purchased 1000 retweets from another vendor, i will post updates tomorrow. Right now for keyword website rank is 38.
 
I'd love to see the experiment with likes and shares of this likes as equivalent to the retweets.

Honestly I don't think social signals have any benefit to ranking. I'm pretty sure Google doesn't put to much weight on these or can even crawl social links the majority of the time. I think at best social signals can MAYBE give a temporary boost for "news worthy" type of effect, but honestly I've tried social signals and have no way to verify that it has given me any real result.
 
Matt Cutts video below should give you an idea about social signal's impact to website's ranking.
It does have SEO benefit, but small impact. How small is it? You should keep watching this thread (I've already made my own conclusion based on temporary results).

For me you can't make a recipe with just 1 ingredient.

I would better mix tweets with other link building strategies than use it alone. You can't really get into a solution if you use it alone. But I will be keeping a watch over this thread. Hope it works out good with you.
