My Norton thinks BHW is EVILLLLLLLL, help?!

What should I do? It wont let the page load and ive tried researching it on google.:yield:

Secondly norton is the worlds worst anti-virus system ever, I had it on my other pc, I removed it or so I thought when I tried to restore my pc it needed norton anti virus to do a factory restore, so instead I had to just reinstall windows, so my advice get rid of it, it will cause nothing but problems for you. At one point it thought my firefox was malicious and wouldn't let me access the internet. You are better off with out it trust me.

norton blocks the site itself, or just notify you about an intrusion attempt? if norton notifies you an intrusion attempt, hit stop notifying me and you won't get the same message again on this site if it is annoying you
let norton do its work but let make the program do it in the background...

and yes, i don't like norton also...i've used it in the past, but its memory usage was too high..so i don't use it anymore
if you ask anyone who knows a bit about computers, he/she won't recommend you to use it...

I apologize my post probably wasn't very helpful, it's just I really do hate norton, but yeah do what the person said above and you should be ok.

Yes, Norton blocks the site/ stops the site from loading. The only thing I can see is the blackhatworld seo banner.

I cant get to http://www.blackhatword.com but I can however go on variations of the site like http://www.alexa.com/data/details/traffic_details/www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/http://www.%3Cb%3Eblackhatworld%3C/b%3E.com/blackhat-seo so I guess i'll have to ignore the warnings of the original site and set that as my new homepage until I buy a new computer or figure this out.

I think this all started when I dled the program http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/member-downloads/97216-get-tubeblasterpro-v1-2-9-full.html either from there or Utorrent, or probably both. Can't remember which.

I have FULLY Scanned my computer a couple of times with norton, once after I dled that program and it was still in my (recently changed) folder I think, and it listed a trojan virus, said it couldnt be cleaned but It gave me some BS option so i just blindly did what norton told me to.

Then I went and found the program deleted all files related to it, restarted and fully scanned again (while I was at work). Norton found nothing. So I researched it a little more and was advised to DL the free addition of SUPERantispyware.

Installed and ran that and found nothing. So I thought ok well my computers clean. (I also should note that I have Advanced System care PRO) on my compuer. Scanned everything with that also.

So after thats all done and everything found to be clean I thought ok, problem solved. Well I try loading http://www.blackhatworld.com and it still won't load. So I dont know whats up. Should I just ignore it?

I just want to make sure all my info can't get stolen, keylogged or worse. What do you guys think?

Drop norton and go for avg or kaspersky

yeah i like kaspersky, one of the better ones.

The first thing i did when i bought a new PC was uninstall norton.

Norton + BHW = Bad

AVG + BHW = Good

Uninstall norton install AVG

check the comments from where you've downloaded the program
i don't want to scare you but one of them said his paypal account got hacked thanks to this program infected with virus, virustotal virusscan 11/40!
so i recommend you to change all of your important passwords asap

and install a trojan remover program (not antivirus, just a remover tool and run a full scan), i cannot recommend one, i don't use any, but i think it's useful in your case
security task manager can show you which running processes are dangerous if you have any unusual so you can quarantine it
spyware doctor is a good one too, if you want to remove spywares, malwares from your computer

if i get an infection (not too many times) i use security task manager, spyware doctor and nod32 to kill it and they always works good for me, i didn't have to reinstall the operation system because of an infection till now

AVG is kinda crap. Kaspersky is good but I prefer avast because it can run scans before windows loads.

Symantec Endpoint is doing the same thing today. BHW mods, can you look into this and fix it?

I agree with godmonkee. Get avg or avast. me I prefer Zone Alarm & yet norton is right BHW is evil

kaspersky is the best. norton and avg are shit plus i dont pay for my internet securty

Norton is worst!!Instead use free copy of AVG or AVAST home!!

Norton SUCKS Shit. It has given so many "false alarms" for my friends its not funny.
Ignore it, get Avast Free Home edition instead.

There is some obfuscated javascript code on the index page of BHW that is causing this alarm. Its only on the index page, which is why Norton only blocks blackhatworld.com and not any other page on the server. I doubt its anything bad, I remember HaRRo saying that he had some javascript to stop the 4*chan attackers that time they were pissed at us so its probably that. Norton just gives a warning because it doesn't know what it is, not because it knows for sure its something bad, which is why most people say Norton sucks.
