nice ride good luck with it..wear a helmut
Nice bike. Congratulations on passing your test.
Correction:
"stupid motorcyclist = death"
All it takes is one stupid driver who doesn't see you.
Because I've just passed my bike test ... I'm going to drop it or come off it at some point during the first 6 months so rather than have to replace parts on the 2011 model, I'd go with a second hand model to begin with.
even if it`s a 2005 model it looks so DAMN coool.... but I will never drive something like that
Too much risk
motorcycle = death
Awesome man, don't kill yourself.
On a side note, I honestly cant believe these things are legal to ride on public roads. I mean our society is so overly safety conscious. I mean if they allow these things on the road then there should be no seat belt law lol. I'd much rather be in a car wreck with no seat belt than be in a wreck on a motorcycle. With that in mind I'd love to have a motorcycle if I wasn't so scared I'd get killed.![]()
Whip the farings off of that ... SV's look so much better when they are streetfightered
I was never a big fan of the sv650 but yours looks different to the ones i saw when i was looking for my first bike, settled on a honda cbr 600...sad that i let it go but thats the way things go.
Now i have the cbr 1000 RR it's really far too much bike for me...i was on the motorway looked down thinking i was doing about 80 i was at 120 and the bike wasn't even struggling. I think i might go down in size again though because at times 1000cc is just too much. You've got to love how for 8 grand you can have something that would eat a car that costs 10x that.
dam that bike looks so nice my friend is looking into getting a nice crochrocket similar to yours. could you give me some good suggestions with reasonable prices to look at. We have tried craigslist but havent really found anything that great.
Nice! Very nice!
Like everyone here has told you, wear all the safety equipment, and be careful.
Redtide1969 gave you some excellent tips and advice in his post. That man definitely knows his stuff. I'd heed his advice.
I've been riding over 40 years, and can tell you, it isn't a matter of IF you are going to lay it down, its a matter of WHEN you are going to lay it down. I had to lay one down last summer. Fortunately, I have invested in armored leathers, and I'd advise you to do the same. Road rash sucks.
Have fun with it, and remember the old rider's axiom:
"It is better to ride down the road on your putt, than to slide down the road on your butt."
Thanks for the compliments Randy and srb888,
Not to threadjack, but do you mind explaining a bit about the circumstances surrounding your accident? I think it would help newer riders reading this thread because when we go down, there's always things to be learned from it that could have been done differently, and as you know from riding 40 years (awesome btw), being closed minded to learning new things while riding is the last thing any rider should ever do. Every accident I see I always pick it apart and try to learn from the circumstances surrounding it.
