my condolences, i vividly remember when my grandma passed away... really hits me hard.... it will take some time to accept the loss but you are a strong person OP....

Don't feel inappropriate about it, @jamesjk1 bro. When my mom died, eight hours later I was posting about it on here. Places like BHW, where you are anonymous but have a precedent of communication with others, are a wonderful place to be able to talk about things that you can't really vocalize with family and friends who are showering you with condolences and wishes and prayers.
