OP - all these big name cosmetic companies might have a problem with you selling there products under this type of scheme. Want to contact them first - but then they might be wondering where you are getting them from - are you 100% sure they are authentic?

Why would they mind me selling this way? I dont see any reason. Also I don't know much about law but I assume once they s e l l to wholesalers or other parties, they don't have anything to say in the matter. They can't restrict free trade, can they?
I would be buying from wholesalers in the uk (there are many, I contacted 1 of them and they said they can provide certificate of authenticity :-?? )

Im a registered commercial company, buying legally from wholesalers, I receive invoices, I pay them.
What, they're gonna sue me because I pay people to promote my products? or because I s e l l their stuff?

Many companies have VERY strict policies when it comes to selling their product - hence the reason they are very careful who they allow to sell their products and why they watch over their accounts.
But hey, good luck...
The ONLY way this will work is if you dump some serious cash into it. There are many many many cosmetic sites that offer similar services and prices for their products, so competition is steep. If you have the cash to create an amazing site, or are extremely talented, you might be able to pull it off. It's kind of an all or nothing deal imo. Either you will invest a lot of money and make a killing, or lose it all. Good luck in whatever you choose.

No no by branded and unbranded I was referring to the party. Tupperware and virgin both have branded parties and only sell Tupperware or virgin products.
By hosting an unbranded party your free to sell whatever you want across the spectrum of brands and not restricted to any one company.

As above, I think you need to think about legalities of where you are getting the products first. If it's not approved by the brand owners, then it's not going to be scalable.

I've been on this site for a long ass time, and as you can see by my post count I read much more than I post. One thing I can tell you is to listen to netmoney1. His posts are always worth reading, and his advice is always on point. Large companies like the ones you are talking about most likely monitor and control how the product is sold. Just because your wholesaler can print a certificate of authenticity doesn't make it safe. The whole point is to do your homework before investing in something of this nature. The corporate world is greedier than anyone on this site, and they won't hesitate to put you in your place if you step out of line.

You are right that there are already like 10 of them. However on close inspection 9 of them are terribly implemented, badly visible pages with small text. The one which is well implemented has had great success, probablY made 1-2 millions.Perhaps I can replicate its success.

Im gonna do my best filling the web up with my s h i t, I have this idea where I create like 20 facebook pages impersonating girls, one in every bigger city and get 5000 friends. Then s p a m the hell out of everyone by pm (bout 20 a day on each account so i dont get into trouble) posing as normal girls trying to make money selling with my company.

Thanks a lot for the input, Im gonna try to get information about the legalities. I do know for a fact there are other successful online shops selling branded products like those though.
Im sure they dont have agreements with 10+ manufacturers. But Im gonna do some more reasearch, you're right.

It's just worth your time to do the research before sinking money. I will give you a real life example:
A friend of mine has a very successful womens clothing boutique. A large boutique in another state went belly up and their inventory was being liquidated. High end designer stuff. Prior to purchasing the inventory for a specific designer she checked with them - and it turns out that she could NOT sell that particular brand in her location because there was another retail location that sold it within a specific radius. So, if she just acted on impulse and purchased the lot of inventory and THEN found out she could not carry it in her location she would have been screwed.
Just do you research prior to sinking $$ into it and you will be fine.

I think every idea has the potential to be a million dollar one. It just depends on your ability, research, and dedication. Look at those sites and try to figure out what each one is missing. There has to be something different that you can do. Maybe it's include a free random gift with each order or something. Stupid things like that make the difference.
I hope you're right Beauxy, Id be the happiest man on earth if I could make this work.
