My journey $500/day through eCommerce

Great work, but i have one question. How will you bring traffic to your e-commerce website?

Great work, but i have one question. How will you bring traffic to your e-commerce website?

I plan to build up a customer base since the niche is one where people will come back to a lot and then create some coupons with my websites name on them and have people use the website for like 5% off or something. I will probably use social media and maybe Google Adwords as well.

Update 1/15/2014 (7th Day)

So the last to days I haven't done anything with this project. I've been attending meetings and interviews. Looks like I'll be gone for a bit next week as well. Just wanted to stop in and say I'm still working on this.

Update 1/15/2014 (8th Day)

Find some more products to list, got into contact with another supplier. Broadened my niche some more.

Nice work man! Me and a partner are thinking of starting our Ecom Biz. So hopefully we'll get it together soon.
Best of luck. :D

Update 1/17/2014 (9th Day)

I was busy all day so I didn't have much time to do anything but I did get in contact with supplier and am trying to get a product list as well as everything I need to easily upload in bulk to Amazon and Ebay via Excel file.

Update 1/18/2014 (10th Day)

I've decided to focus on one of the niches. There is a bigger profit margin in it for me and I found a great supplier with a minimum order of 5. I plan to start going wholesale so to say. The money I'm getting from this gig will go towards product. I plan to buy about 10-15 products whole sale at the minimum right now and see if I can get them to sale, I think I will be able to. I've been learning a lot these laugh few days and I think I can create an awesome marketing campaign. I plan to contact a couple guys I worked with in the past and see if they want to join me in this venture, they know more then me so I think they can be vital I just need to make some sales and start making profit so I have incentive to convince them.

Update 1/19/2014 (11th Day)

No progress today, it was championship sunday lol. Anyways tomorrow I'll know some things and then I'll go from there.

Update 1/20/2014 (12th Day)

Find a supplier that will mix and match product for me to meet their minimum requirements, shipping takes 2-6 days estimated so that's nice as well. Their prices seem to be really low but I will keep searching to see if I can find anything better. I didn't get the business done I wanted to do today because it was a holiday though.

Update 1/24/2014 (16th Day)

Alright so the last few days I've been busy working getting some money to buy inventory. But I found a guy who might be willing to invest or give me a loan, maybe even form a partnership with me but IDK as of yet. All my intentions are still the same, I should have my first shipment of product coming in by the end of next week. There's some equipment I need to order first such as a label/stamp printer and something I need for my products before I can sell them, the equipment will run me around $200 which is not bad. I already have shipping supplies from the USPS which was free of course. Product should run me about $300 with shipping overseas as well. So not bad.

Update 1/25/2014 (17th Day)

Talked to the man some more, he is still interested. Just need to figure some things out for that. Filed my taxes today as well so I'll probably use all that money as well to buy product to build up a good selection.

Update 2/1/2014 (24th Day)

Still here, gonna need more capital than I expected to start up so it'll be a bit longer until I get the product. For now I plan on selling a bunch of random products so I can build up some good reviews.

Update 2/9/2014 (32nd Day)

Finally beginning the process of ordering, I'm getting quotes from different suppliers and making sure the company is reliable and then I will see who has the best quotes and shipping. Hopefully by this time next week I'll have my first batch of products to upload on Amazon/Ebay.

Finally beginning the process of ordering, I'm getting quotes from different suppliers and making sure the company is reliable and then I will see who has the best quotes and shipping. Hopefully by this time next week I'll have my first batch of products to upload on Amazon/Ebay.

So I've been trying to find the supplier of the biggest competitor in my niche and am unable to, I did find a great supplier that I sent in for some items to receive quotes so hopefully tomorrow they will reply back. I have a list of about 7 suppliers that I've been comparing and this one seems best based on price and shipping. I already have shipping supplies here from the USPS, flat rate boxes ;). I want to get a thermal label printer as well, the one I want is $229 a DYMO but I used it in the past and love it and it is cheaper than others. Right now the plan is to get the product and start under selling my competition to get feedback and some profit. Hopefully soon I'll be able to expand my list of products and then I can start branding my LLC (when I register it) into the products as well as creating my website.
