Guest posting seems to be getting bigger and bigger as google rolls out each successive update which is why I've made an effort recently to get a larger number of these style of backlinks. They're niche specific and they're relevant, but they're a bit of a pain in the ass.
Here is the best method I've found so far... nothing you couldn't figure out yourself, but it's what I've had the most success with after some trial and error.
1. Hire quality writer to produce content. For many niches this will require a native speaker since blog owners want reasonably high quality stuff. I've been happy with the Niche Pack stuff here: http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...ticles-great-prices-rates-0-75-100-words.html
2. Hire VA to search for blogging opportunities. I have an ODesk VA working for $1.30 an hour (after giving her two raises) that sends out an email I've written from an email address associated with my website. I have the email set up in outlook so any replies come to me and I can take it from there.
The email includes an offer to give them some SEO help, mostly in the form of backlinks. I recently started offering stuff from http://crorkservice.com/ for a few bucks a piece. I think this is essential in getting someone interested in the idea of giving you the guest posting opportunity. Even though its small most bloggers know little about seo and 500 links seems like an amazing trade off
3. I take care of any questions or concerns the blog owners have and provide them with a samples of "my" writing and again mention the SEO I provide. If its a higher quality blog or high PR I might actually write an article myself on a topic they want to keep them on the hook.
4. Once they post the article and I see a live link I send them a couple hundred links of whatever they choose and forward a report. They're happy, I'm happy. I've even had people want me to post more often after the first one.
As I said, nothing mind blowing here, but if you're looking for a good, though not necessarily cheap, way of getting some quality links in the long term this is one of the best ways I've found so far. They end up costing me from $12-$18 depending on how many responses I get a week. (The VA is a fixed cost of course, and the rest cost me $7-$9 per post.)
