Guest posting seems to be getting bigger and bigger as google rolls out each successive update which is why I've made an effort recently to get a larger number of these style of backlinks. They're niche specific and they're relevant, but they're a bit of a pain in the ass.

Here is the best method I've found so far... nothing you couldn't figure out yourself, but it's what I've had the most success with after some trial and error.

    1. Hire quality writer to produce content. For many niches this will require a native speaker since blog owners want reasonably high quality stuff. I've been happy with the Niche Pack stuff here: http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...ticles-great-prices-rates-0-75-100-words.html

    2. Hire VA to search for blogging opportunities. I have an ODesk VA working for $1.30 an hour (after giving her two raises) that sends out an email I've written from an email address associated with my website. I have the email set up in outlook so any replies come to me and I can take it from there.

The email includes an offer to give them some SEO help, mostly in the form of backlinks. I recently started offering stuff from http://crorkservice.com/ for a few bucks a piece. I think this is essential in getting someone interested in the idea of giving you the guest posting opportunity. Even though its small most bloggers know little about seo and 500 links seems like an amazing trade off

    3. I take care of any questions or concerns the blog owners have and provide them with a samples of "my" writing and again mention the SEO I provide. If its a higher quality blog or high PR I might actually write an article myself on a topic they want to keep them on the hook.

    4. Once they post the article and I see a live link I send them a couple hundred links of whatever they choose and forward a report. They're happy, I'm happy. I've even had people want me to post more often after the first one.

As I said, nothing mind blowing here, but if you're looking for a good, though not necessarily cheap, way of getting some quality links in the long term this is one of the best ways I've found so far. They end up costing me from $12-$18 depending on how many responses I get a week. (The VA is a fixed cost of course, and the rest cost me $7-$9 per post.)

Thanks. Mine are targeted to my niche and are quality posts. I'm not too worried. I also don't take much that Cuttsy says about things like this as whole truths.

Take this from a guy who builds x,xxx+ sites per month... get off the guest post bandwagon. There are better ways to rank.

Unless this is a pre sales thread for your upcoming guest posting service... ha ha ha

No guest posting service, but if you wanna PM me your methods I'm all ears. (E-ears?) as a bonus I'll stop emailing you asking for guest posts. Hahaha.

He wouldn't even be able to last 2 minutes, talk about an anal fissure.

I could throw thousands of screen shots but you get the idea.

I literally get xxx emails a day requesting for posts. Here's the thing, I don't need your content. I have employed a technical writer who has a Masters for almost 2 years and not an outsourcer in a different country. An actual person that is 3 offices down from mine.

To give you an idea, this was me a year ago. I get better everyday... when I look back at that post I can't help but think what a naive noob I was haha

To be upfront, I really hope google keeps on rolling out these algo "updates". Let the SEO field get less and less saturated. When this happens, its going to be like stealing candy from a baby for guys like me.

For promoting individual posts on a blog I'm finding guest posting quite useful
For promoting a domain as a whole - not so much

I think that's how it's supposed to work anyway :) So I wasn't surprised at the results.
