My first week using Sick Submitter..... HELLO GOOGLE PENALTY!!!

I only used the sic packets provided with the program.

1 money site run at profiles, bookmarks, and 1 article submission. Links and my XML sent rss.

Nothing more. No scrapebox blast..

link: Still alive so no deindex but my deep backlinking is keeping me alive on page 3.

Site reconsideration just sent to speed up the penalty...

Nightmare! Was it the speed of it all do you think? I mean did you RSS all your links fast and g00gle got suspicious?

indeed, this is very common, happens all the time to me and I always come back stronger. You shouldn't have sent a site reconsideration request, might make google wonder what you're up to.

why in the hell would you do a site reconsideration when your not even deindexed LOL.

Makes no sense. Must be first time u seen your sites dance.

Nope. This is my third penalty on this particular site. The reason I did a site reconsideration is the last time I had a penalty, I did one and said I fired my seo company.. blah blah blah and the penalty was lifted within 36 hours. This particular penalty was reaching 3 weeks. I immediately did it this time to test if I have the same result.

And site reconsideration isn't just for deindexed sites...

" If your site isn't appearing in Google search results, or it's performing more poorly than it once did (and you believe that it does not violate our Webmaster Guidelines), you can ask Google to reconsider your site. "

If you're only on page 3, that's not a penalty, that just means you need to do more backlinking or possibly tidy up on your on-page and give it some more time. Penalty means not showing at all for a query, or showing up at the very bottom of the serps.

I have a site that is penalized and I have suspected it was due to profile submissions and I know sick submitter is a profile submitter. I much rather use Magic Submitter. Many more options. At this point backlinks from profiles scare me. Its very "unnatural" to have 1000 profiles with the same link and google can easily spot a profile link IMHO

That is not true, there is a -30 penalty, google has all kinds of penalties, -30, -950, etc, etc.

I am not saying that is what is happening to the OP, but I am saying that what you said, a penalty means you do not show anywhere in the SERP(s), is not true.

I'm aware of the purported -30 penalty and IMHO it's easily overcome by a) better quality links and b) social buzz.

I'd also point out that the -30 penalty should put you on the fourth page, not the third.

UM i probably wouldnt tell Google i had a SEO company working for me either, Google know what SEO companies are! (Link Buyers) which is against ther terms & conditions!

That is true. One of my sites got this penalty and now it fluctuates between the 4 -6 pages. It used to be the first spot. It's been 7 months now and it is still down there.

well its obviously not sick submitters fault - its just a tool

you need to perhaps plan your site strategy better - and include higher quality links more before going hard on the profiles.

How do you know about these penalties? All the time I hear about "omg I just got -50 penalty."

Where is the documented proof that these types of penalties exist?

Personally, I don't believe in google "penalties". Either your site is SEO'd correctly or not.

I am trying to help a friend with his site it seems banned.

Doesn't show up for anything.

He is running a news site and using rss feeds from other news sites.. Some of the are run through 5 filters full feed script.

Not sure if this it the cause...

Should I get him to submit a site reconsideration?
