how long were they up? what were your content sources? did you link back to sources? did you spin/rewrite at all?

im still uneasy about the whole deindexing/adsense-ban thing, thats why im diversifying as much as i can. half my traffics from search, half from other places. starting to see a bit of money from non-adsense things too which is reassuring.

time for the july report...

things are still marching along nicely. adsense earnings continue to grow. impressions/traffic from google increasing. earnings from amazon starting to come in too.

smashed my goal of $xx.xx for the month, and am well into dollar-a-day territory. got my first amazon payment safely in my bank, which is a nice fail-safe if adsense decides to be a dick. if things keep up i hope to be cashing out adsense before long.

traffic is slowly inching up. i have been mostly focusing on 2 or 3 sites building backlinks. this has really kicked up the search engine traffic for these.


the big change is the boost in CTR which has doubled after some layout changes.

i did some experimenting for a week or two with replacing some adsense blocks with a CPA offer. you can see the reduced ctr for a bit because of that. it resulted in a bunch of clicks on the offer, but no conversions. disappointing as it was a one-page zip submit that was highly targeted to the site niche, thought it would convert much better. have switched back and the CTR is right back up.

most work has been on off site seo. harvesting blogs and putting out XXX-XXXX links a day out on average. mix of twitter accounts, top links and deep links; names and keywords as anchors. creating my own AA list and manually posting on high PR sites.

I did not read through every post in the thread, but I did see that you wanted better results from adsense. I dont know if you already tried this.

I have a good amount of autoblogs and from my experience you have to put adsense where you would expect the site's navigation to be. I usually put a skyscraper in the first position in the right sidebar. Try and make it so it looks like the page's navigation. Then I put the site's real navigation below it and make it look similar to the adsense (links with short descriptions under them).

If you do have a horizontal nav bar make it small and less obvious. I find that the pages per visit are low on auto blogs so you have to get something out of the visitor on the first page they come to.

I have found that there are alot of people in this world that dont recognize adsense immediately when they see it, they think it is part of the site.

I did this and my adsense doubled overnight.

what plugin do you actually use to tweet your posts? and if it's not too much can you pm me your domain? I just started out in autoblogging and would like to learn from people who has experience already

have you considered the CTR theme? Also when I started adsense 2 years back I was told if you ran adsense you could only run adsense. No mixing in affiliate offers etc?

i have tried CTR, and never said i wasnt using it

as usual, adsense is a bit confusing at best here. the TOS says no other 'contextual-based advertising'. do affiliates fall under the umbrella of advertising? dunno.

anyhow, they are all static CPA offers, and dont even have them any more. and the amazon affiliates are posts dedicated to reviewing the product with a link to buy now and the product page. not context-based at all.

i used to use GA but dont any more. first off, theres the question (paranoia) of giving google more info about your autoblog and getting slapped for it.

but the main one for me is you can only track like 6 separate sites with it, so i simply out grew it. i now use piwik for that and it does everything GA does and more plus is open source and customizable.

for the data i posted about google search results, obviously you have to use google as the source...
google webmaster tools is great, its not something you add to your site, just verify that you are the owner and they let you see the under-the-hood data they already collect anyways about you.
really helpful to see what keywords you are ranking for and where people are landing.

i also used statpress way way back, and hated it. gave totally crap info. basically it confuses real visitors with spiders and ends up giving useless data.

twitter tools, but there is not really any reason for that choice. there are tons of choices, but i just use the most basic function of tweeting new posts so pretty much any one will do for that...

id rather not share the domains yet, if you have any more specific questions though ill do my best to answer.

i have not created any more for the past month or so. sort of bit off more then i could chew with the last batch, before i was ready.

now i have on-site things mostly figured out and to a point where i could just clone them if i wanted to. have started building some new twitter accounts in preparation for a new launch of sites in the coming months.

As best as I can figure I hit some kind of filter when I got to 20k cached pages.

You mentioned you based this on someone else's method. Can you link me to that method? I tried searching for the username you mentioned and BHW said no such person.

Adsense is still by far your biggest $ earner with this right?

the user is shezboy, its one of the biggest autoblogging threads on the site. honestly its getting sort of outdated now though..

well you can see in the last month it was only about 2/3 of earnings. this month so far its almost 50/50 adsense and amazon...

i still have not actually recieved one cent fron adsense to thats still relative anyways

i got inspired by you, i have 1 blog free blog from blogger, i just make 3 posts in total and never touched it again, i checked my adsense after 3 months i only got 7$ right now i think i should do the blog blast manually ! blog and blog and blog with original content then backlinking from different forums etc..

you adsense earning frequency is right...

Yeah this thread inspired me too, hosted my first site with hostgator and set up wordpress on it, got a custom theme and am trying to get unique articles to start posting articles but its still not yet; despite that its test post works, I fiddled with the settings and hopfully over night it will post some. I also wanted to PM the OP but I dont have enough posts to do so.
