I have recently noticed that one of my PBN domains was ranking for a few big kws in my niche so I decided to take it out of my network and make it a 100% money site.
After uploading a few articles and getting them ranked on the first page I remembered that I had not setup a SSL for the site.
I set one up added a plugin to redirect all pages to the https versions and submitted the https version of the domain to google search console.
It has been a few days now, and most of my rankings have gone down a few pages. The only pages that are still ranking are the old http versions that google still has indexed.
Is this normal? Will the rankings come back after google has recrawled the backlinks? Should I have done something extra?
Like I said, this is my first time switching a site to https so this could be a common thing. But I thought I would check with you guys first before deciding to panic lol
