Are any of you using peerfly to sign up people and getting customers by using ad mobi?

I did that and I had some limited success. Spent $50 and got just under 100.000 impressions and around 550 clicks on my sign up with adweber from their iphone. They are then sent to the peerfly link as the thank you page and from the peerfly I only made like $3.90.

And I got like 17 people on my list. That means each customer cost me around $2.70.

Please some feed back on what I can do to improve on future campaign?

    Where did I go wrong?

    Thanks in advance, John.

What if you didn't hit them with the email capture first? Try directing them to the offer first. If you got 550 clicks and captured 17 emails, if they wouldn't have had to put their email in first, they might have just filled in the offer, since doing the double opt-in thing may be a little too much. People are so lazy!

and if those 17 would have only had to opt-in to the offer, you may have made more. If I saw the 'grow taller' page, I would exit out immediately, however if the ad said 'get a free I-pad' I would probably throw down my email to see what happens.

Just a thought, hope it helps!

Many thanks for the advice and comments all.

I do think there is money in mobile marketing, its just finding the right formula to tap into some it.

You are right, I think I did see a few emails from email with (199x) I guess I had the wrong target.

Next time I will try with just sending them to the CPA opt in.

By the way, I do think there is alot of short people.

Just ask your friends if they had a pill that could get them to grow 2-4 inches in 2 months would they take it?

    I am 6.0 and I wish I could be a little taller maybe 6.3 :D

Actually, I've had a very different experience in terms of demographic.

The not-out-of-college kids spend more money on themselves than any prior generation. Moreover, they're at least as self-conscious about what they do and don't have. Kids that age are going to absurd extremes to make their bodies look how they want (making them TERRIFIC diet/weight-loss candidates). They are more expectant of a decent lifestyle right out of school (making them good biz-opp candidates). So it's monetizeable.

However, I DO agree that the OP didn't seem to take into account the demographic of the likely majority of his audience. However, therein lies the problem, not in the marketing strategy as a whole.

To the OP . . . the ad has no real call to action. A picture of a guy's shoulder and some short text about growing taller does not offer a "problem/solution" based agenda.

Rework that campaign. Obviously, short people want to be taller. But why? Self-esteem? To get the hot girl? To reach the top shelf liquor? Relate to their NEED to be taller, then call-to-action solution.

    Your right!

I should have hired a midget and put a bottle of Hennessey on a high table and wrote "Sick of being to short?"

Get my free report and learn how you can grow 1-4 inches in 2 months!

Bingo. This element to marketing distinguishes between addressing the efficient cause versus addressing the final cause.

Marketing pitch with an efficient cause:
I want to get taller, so I'll take the pill.

Marketing pitch with a final cause:
I want my dick to be head level of this hot chick, so I'll take the pill. (Pardon the crude nature of this example, but I tried to come up with something that is likely to stick in someone head.)

Marketing analysis shows that addressing a FINAL cause almost ALWAYS brings about better conversions and results.

I sat through a couple of the mobile video thinking that their was some great secret with mobile advertising but yet again I was disappointed. (Waste Of Time.) As most gurus say it is very easy to make money right after you fork over some of yours. (Even Know I Got It For Free.)

I have had some luck with the google method I have been using.

    Their Image ads.

I went out and found a $75 adword voucher

    Created an account.

    Created some a banners.

Advertisied to a large 5000 keyword list.

    Paid $0.03 Per Click

I had a mailing list of 863 in 3 days.

And now you can sell to them all day long...

Long story short don`t follow the big fads they promote. Promote like they Promote the big fads.

Good luck with your marketing, I hope I could shed some light for ya...

I've made a some money using MobileMonopoly, the key is in the GEO Targeting. 18-24 male and females, and use an offer in peerfly that targets that age group and you'll be ok. 15 years ago people were saying that they're would'nt be any money in online marketing. Stay the course and target the youngsters!!!

Congratulation to your success guys! Keep your mobile mobi stories coming.

I did want to try the image thing (read it in a ebook not to long ago) but I never could get the ads okay'ed :( Or if I did then the keywords were all quite expensive.

How do you find 0.1 - 0.3 click keywordswords?

The second these ad networks approve adult content campaigns the money will pour in to mobile marketing. Sex and Gambling is the back bone to this whole thing. I'm racking my brain to get some adult campaigns past admob.

sorry to rain on your parade, but gambling and sex are NOT the money makers. You clearly have no idea about CPMs and going rates. Put it this way, how many sex campaigns do you see on cnn.com or nytimes.com? ZERO

Why bother with sex campaigns, when advertisers are willing to pay 30.00-70.00 CPM.

People can't beat off in public, they want to do that in the comfort of their own home. Epic mobile tip of the day, if you want to make money with mobile ads focus on local. If you want more details, hold tight. I have an ebook coming out soon.
