Hello everyone!
Welcome to my first journey.

After several months browsing & reading the forum and buying some services from the marketplace, its time to take action and start my own MNS journey.

Due to my low salary I can't use more than $50/mo for this journey.

I have some experience in web programming, so no problem installing, modifying and customizing scripts and themes, but still a newbie in SEO and IM.

Because I've found myself inconsistent and a little lazy at moments with my recent (and first) tries in IM, I create this thread mostly to keep me motivated, more consistent, organized, and ofcourse, hoping to get some tips and learn a lot of new things.

I will start counting "Day 1" when I put the site online and register it in webmaster tools.

So let's see what I'll achieve with monthly budget of $50 and 1 MNS. I really hope this turns out as a successful journey.

My Goals:
Goal 1: $1/day from 1 Micro Niche Site.
Goal 2: $2/day from 1 Micro Niche Site.
Goal 3: $3/day from 1 Micro Niche Site.

I hope to reach at least one goal in the next 2 months.

Main Keyword:
CPC: $1+
Search Volume: 2500+
AdWords Competition: High
TT Difficulty: Medium

Wish me good luck. :)

can you please made a detail ?
like what plugin you install to your wordpress ?

thanks.. cheers

Good luck with your Journey OP, it's nice to see some properly structured journeys :)
I hope you reach your goals soon!

Hi OP, I am about to embark on a similar journey myself. Wishing you nothing but success!

Sounds like a decently thought out plan OP - I just feel I should caution you against the MNS/Adsense combo. I know some people swear it's fine, but really you risk getting your account banned at any moment, without explanation. I'm not saying you should switch course completely, just that you should consider choosing niches where you could make at least part of the money through affiliate offers instead of pure Adsense. Anyway, good luck whatever you choose to do :)

I'll write the plugins I'll use, maybe later tonight.

How many articles do you publish per niche site?
Don't know yet for sure, but planning to start maybe with 5 (more if my budget permits) and then 2 articles/mo.

Thank you for the suggestions. I'll keep that in mind. I read several times here about banned accounts because of micro niche sites. However I'm not going for the typical 1-2 page MNS here. I'm not planning to put adsense on the site before I have more articles (already planned 5), maybe more and some daily traffic to the site. And don't plan to stop there... already added featured posts widget at my homepage, hope at the end its more of a 'mini authority site' than a MNS. Now, I don't think that's much, but I think it's sufficient compared to some of the thin 1-2 page MNS that I've seen ranked. And hope to avoid the adsense ban. Today I'm going to read a little more info about my niche in forums, Q&A sites etc. and take some notes what people are asking/searching for. I think I can find some amazon products related to my niche.
How many content/articles you recommend and think is safe when using adsense from your experience? Thanks.

I won't reply to everyone personally, but want to say Thank you all for the support and good luck to all of you! :)

Good Luck. You'll be fine with your adsense account aslong as your sites aren't one page of spun crap.

Thank you all!
It seems that I can't edit my thread, so I'll post my updates.

Code:
[20140719]: Posted my first 500+ words article. Configured Simple Share Buttons Adder, added contact form.

Plugins installed so far:

  • Yoast SEO
  • XML Sitemaps
  • Duplicator
  • Simple Share Buttons Adder - it's lightweight, I'll use them at the end of a post and in the sidebar
  • Contact Form Clean and Simple
  • Social Locker Free - my plan is to provide little extras in some of my posts in exchange of a social share. If it's not converting well I'll remove it and maybe try email subscriptions.
  • Disable Comments

Here is how I styled Simple Share Buttons Adder. What do you think, is it eye catching enough to attract more clicks. :)

Personally I think it's more about the article quality, how the site looks and the niche subject than the amount of articles. A "mini authority" site is a good plan. I think one important thing is writing articles/content that doesn't look obviously keyword targeted. If you have 10 articles on a site and each one contains a high value keyword in the title, it's obvious you're optimizing for SEO/Adsense. Bottom line, put yourself in your visitors shoes and look at your site critically - would you trust it if you were them? Would you give it a pass if you were Google?

Thank you for this! I hope to achieve exactly this. Reading your comment made me more confident that I'm on the right track with my plan. Provide valuable information, tips, guides, informative images. That's why I'm trying to go deep into my niche. Reading a lot of information and gain knowledge. It's gonna take a lot more work and time, but hopefully hard work will pay off with good results. Today I'm even reading some brochures from firms in my niche. :)
