My First Churn & Burn

I wish you luck my friend, even if it fails you'll of learnt a lot and spent very little :-)

This type of churn and burn is no longer relevant in 2016. It's a waste of time and energy. If you see results they will be very short time and you'll end up wasting even more time and energy. Focus on big websites and more natural link building. Keep things up to date, otherwise you will give up everything and you'll be thinking why didn't you use your time and energy into building something which will last. You can do linkbuilding, but not that sort of a old-fashioned spam. SEO now is a patient game, not churn and burn. I know you wouldn't listen, I guess it is better to learn all of this experiencing the problem. I hope after you realize your mistake, you'll start doing things properly and not give up, as tons of people are giving up as they are stuck back in another year and can't realize things are constantly changing.

P.S. You shouldn't call this a "journey", rather "how I will realize I can't use old-fashioned spam tactics in 2016" :)

Thanks for your thoughts.

The total time spent creating this site was around 2 hours. Maybe I spent another hour finding services? So let's say I spent 4 hours total.

The money spent was $28.25.

So yeah, maybe I've wasted 4 hours and $28.25 to find out what does/doesn't work.

If it works, just for one day even, I have the potential to profit $300 plus per customer gained/per year.

Maybe I should call this "my super dumb attempt to find out what doesn't work"?

I don't get it. I know I'm being a smart ass but I really don't get all of the naysayers that just say that this doesn't work. Have you tried it? Have you done it exactly like I am? What variations have you tried?

Whatever....

Back on Earth, both kw's are at position 20 right now, but they are dancing like crazy. In the last 12 hours I have seen them bounce between 7 and 20. I like it.

I'm sticking to my story and not doing anything else on this site for 2 weeks.

I have set up 2 other sites to do the same thing with so far. I won't do any linking on them for now though. While this site that I am experimenting with now is low competition, both of these new sites that I just started are a lot harder. Both have 10k+ searches per month. Both are around 40 on difficulty in keyword revealer.

Day 5 Update

Site #1 Stats
KW 1- Position 17
KW 2- Position 18
KW Difficulty- 11 for each, based on Keyword Revealer
Monthly Searches- Roughly 1k total
Money Spent- $28.25
Need To Do- Nothing for now

I'll start updating like this from now on. I need to keep organized a bit as I expand, and this will make it easier for me.

I finished the other 2 sites that I am doing this same strategy on.

Site #2 is made on Strikingly. It's a one page site with around 2k words. The general niche is health. It's a review kind of site. I have had success with something very similar a long time ago. The primary kw's add up to over 10k searches a month. The kw difficulty for all kw's is around 40-42 on keyword revealer. The top spots are both owned by Amazon. It is monetized with Amazon. Total time spent making it was maybe 2 hours?

Site #3 is made on Duda One. It has 3 pages. The home page has around 1.2k words. Page 2 has around 800 words. Page 3 has around 500 words. Each page is focused on one primary kw. Kw 1 has around 10k searches a month, and is rated at 37 on kw revealer. Kw 2 has around 22k searches a month, and the difficulty is 49 (oh shit!). KW 3 has 3.6k monthly searches, and it's rated at 39. The top spots on all of these are some pretty authoritative sites. I spent less than 2 hours making the site because I have many sites on this same niche (general niche is also health). It's being monetized with CB. I have a lot of ppc experience with this same product (FU Bing!).

On Site #1, I will be in chill mode for a while. I just keep hitting refresh on the rankings to stare at it. It's fun watching it bounce around. I can't wait to see what happens when the spam really floods in. Will it hit the top? Will it collapse within minutes? Will it hang around forever? Idk, but it's exciting to find out.

On Site #2 and #3, I am also kind of in chill mode. I already pinged them today. I think I will just sprinkle some socials over the next few days to get them indexing. I really don't want to do much more until Site #1 gets sorted out after a lot of spam hits it. That should at least give me a hint of I'm on the right track?

I'm really excited about sites 2 and 3 also because they are so much tougher. I can easily see spending several hundred on each of them pretty quickly. Getting anywhere near first page on either of them could be ridiculous. Fun!

I get bored pretty easily, so I will probably be setting up a lot more of these over the next few weeks while I wait for results. I won't track any of them here unless I have some major success or failure.

I'm sorry that I ranted about the naysayers above. Idk, maybe my skin is too thin sometimes. It just gets old seeing/reading/hearing people say that something can't be done when they never tried it. If someone has tried and failed, that would really be worth sharing. But just saying that "x" doesn't work is kind of bs to me. Oh well.

Thanks for reading! If you have any advice or opinions I would love to hear them! Even if they are just blanket statements founded on hearsay. :)

Day #6 Update

KW 1- Position N/A
KW 2- Position N/A
KW Difficulty- 11 lol
Monthly Searches- Around 1k
Money Spent- $28.25
Need To Do- Nada for now

Well today was different for me. I have been watching these kw's bounce all over the place. From N/A to 5, and back to N/A. Bouncing up and down every minute. Pretty crazy. I've seen the bounce many times, but this one is way more extreme. Neat....

I didn't do anything else with the other 2 sites, and I haven't made any more yet. It was just a really busy offline day.

I've been playing around with a Shopify store the last 2 days too. It's pretty fun. This store is geared towards teenage girls and their moms. As soon as I finish it I plan on getting traffic from Reddit. I've had some good luck with Reditt advertising, so we'll see what happens.

I have a really good idea on an adult Shopify store. I'm trying to find out if they have any issue with adult (not porn) products, and if that will be an issue with PayPal. Any idea??

P.S. Thanks Rashow!

Most people went away from churn and burn for a reason. I am just saying these two hours you could have spent on something that will give you a revenue that will lost longer.

I gotcha. No worries. Maybe you're right? Or maybe you're wrong? For some chump change and a couple of hours having fun I'll find out myself, instead of just assuming.

My long term online earnings/abilities pretty much suck. The only "kind of life changing" money I ever made online was black hat (cloaking, etc.). I miss doing real bh, so this is a fun return to it for me. There's something about spamming that makes me giddy.

Good Luck. Even if you recoup what you spent, its a lesson learnt. And just to be honest, I was always curious about trying something like this too. If you earn even $100, that will motivate me to lift my fat lazy ass off the couch and take action. :D

Day #7 Update

KW 1 Position- 16
KW 2 Position- 21
Money Spent- $28.25
Need To Do- Go to sleep

Still waiting for the spam to hit. I probably won't post here again for a week or so unless I see a change in serps. I'd just be repeating the same things with random thoughts.

The serps have stabilized now. Usually at the the bottom of the second page. I have no patience. I want the spam to hit now.

In other news, I'm having fun with this shopify store I set up. I started an add for it in Reditt. I got the shittiest ctr I have ever seen. I believe it was 0.3%. Ridiculous. But I know where I went wrong so I will try again. I did get one order on it from South Africa. That order's profit paid for my mistake, so whatever. I also set up 2 Adwords display network only campaigns for it also. Both are set at worldwide with a penny click. It just started. I have around 50 clicks from it so far without an order.

If I get any good news from advertising to this shopify store I will spend a few bucks getting a better theme and maybe some help making it look good. I have a great niche for it that is very specific and appeals to a woman's heart. We'll see.

Thanks for reading again. See you in a week or so unless something exciting happens.

Day #11 Update

KW 1 Position- 13
KW 2 Position- 17
Money Spent- $28.25
Need To Do- Zzzzzzz

Still patiently waiting. Still planning on doing nothing else for this site for a while. Hoping spam hits it and it jumps up in a few weeks.

On Site #3 I went ahead and ordered some spam for it. I couldn't help it. I ordered the same services as I did for Site 1. In a few weeks I plan on ordering some fairly expensive PBN links for it from a guy on this site selling here. I like what I'm seeing from him.

I know I wasn't supposed to update this for a few days but I got excited.

A few days ago I was playing around with an Aliexpress to Shopify dropshipping site. I got ok results from the first ad campaign, but it wasn't a winner for sure.

So I made another Shopify site. On this one I sold my own service. I won't say much about it, but the service costs me maybe 15 minutes total. The only expense is my time. I charge roughly $100 per order. I set up a little Bing campaign on a limited budget to get a feel for it. Long story short, I spent around $17 in 2 days and got 3 orders. The total profit on the test after all expenses was around $274. The total time setting up the site was around 2 hours. The total time fulfilling all three orders was under an hour. Pretty freaking cool! Now I am working on setting up multiple ads on Bing and Facebook for it. It will probably take me at least a few weeks to tweak it and see what I can do with it. Very exciting!!

I'll post on here again when something really happens on these churn and burn test sites. I'll try to stay away for a week, unless I see something worth writing about first.

Thanks for reading!!

Thank you for the update! I am also looking to create a churn and burn so i am looking very closely your project.

I am looking forward for future updates! :)

Most SEO's now a days will follow such churn and burn methods and 99% of them will give up because here is the truth- Churn and burn don't work nowadays(Unless the keyword you are targeting has like 500 searches/month). There might be 1 out of 100 cases where it might still work due to some loophole in an algorithm, but 99% of the time getting ranks in 1 month will not work now a days. That's just my 2 cents.

And you say this based on?

Anyway,good luck with this Gtull.

However, I don't see the point of doing churn and burn for a 1k monthly search kW. The whole point of churn and burn is to target a keyword which has a lot of monthly searches so that when it ranks it rakes in as much money as it can before it burn down.

Out of 1k about 400-500 will go to your site if it is #1. Then there's also conversions that will come into play. You need to have a decent priced product/service to see a nice ROI.

Then again I may be wrong with all this calculation which I hope am. But you should consider it.

Hey. Thanks for your thoughts!

The reasons that I started with this niche is because I already have a lot of sites in it. I know pretty much what it takes to rank. I figured I should start from here since I know what slow seo will do, so I can "feel" the difference with cranking spam to it. Also the ROI is ridiculous since I am "selling" my own service. Plus, the 1k monthly search is just for the primary kw's. The long tails bring good traffic.

The point was to start easy, see some good results, and then go for something big.

I've started after something big. :)

P.S. Help please! I have a web 2.0 that doesn't want to index for anything. Help, please?

Edit: Nvm on indexing. I said screw it and added it to webmaster tools. Indexed in under 5 minutes. Weird... No idea why it hadn't indexed before and I tried a lot of tricks.

Okay. As long as the ROI is good I guess there is nothing to worry about.

I follow the following method when I want to get a lot of links indexed. Works everytime.

1) Make a blogger for the sole purpose of indexing links.
2) Make 1-2 random post.
3) Make a seperate post with the title 'Some cool websites/blogs I read today' and add all the links that you want indexed.Doesn't matter if there are 10 or 1000's of links
4)Usually bloggers get indexed quickely but you can this blogpost to WMT to index these links even faster.

Hope that helps :)

What traffic are you getting ,that the
key to all this ,are you converting your traffic.

even thu this method works but in a diffrent way into days world ,but it does work 100%

There really good blogs websites out there, with loads of niche topics and your allowed to Write a blog to them , you create a seo optimized blog as tight as posable around your niche, then add a link back to your website, then the fun begins , you go and get 500.000 niche links all heigh in the serps and blast that blog all week even two weeks , then leave it alone for a week , then blast agin another 2 weeks new fresh list.

the traffic is insane and web postion is grate, now build another blog somewhere else do the same watch your website grow, you can do this on 2.0 aswell but you point a link to a blog to save bans...

brilliant traffic brillient idea....

to set up a grate backlink system

vps $30 month
scrape box $67 discounted as member.
gsa $89 discounted as a member
gsa indexer $20 discount as member
gsa proxys finder $83 discounted as a member.
gsa captcher $118 discounted as a member here.

$377 total

but the vps is $30 Always monthly

That above is a powerhouse to get real good links
and youtube has hundreds of examples to work these tools.

You can get this back selling backlinks or lists your self.

all the above with footprints will get you the links you need
and afther a while pay for it self, gsa indexer will catch the and
index the verified links and that list can be sold.

Yep Im pretty sure churn and burn is patched, or at least LQ links are irrelevant to google now.

My site is 3 weeks old, the highest search keyword has 1.6k searches and is ranked at #15 with only 3 relevant backlinks. Sent another 3 high pa tumblrs a few days ago to boost it to top 10.

Hey. Thanks for the tip! I haven't made a blogger in 7 years or so? I will try that next time.

This one 2.0 that I was trying to index pissed me off. I blasted it with a bunch of socials. reddit, etc. Nothing seemed to work. As soon as I added it to G webmaster it fully indexed in minutes. Grrr.....

Kind of what I'm doing here, but outsourcing the link building. I have had scrape box forever. Been thinking about getting gsa. I dunno... I don't have a ton of time to play online. Need to think about it though.

Thanks for the suggestions!

Maybe you're right, or maybe not? I'm trying to find out on my own with action. We'll see.... :)

P.S. So the new shopify I set up a few days ago is freaking me out. I have had 11 orders now for a profit of around $1k (give or take/not really keeping records like I should) in under a week. I'm playing around trying to optimize and test the ppc, but I may need to hire a pro for this. Anybody have a recommendation on a ppc manager that's reputable and doesn't want to rape someone with the fees?
