everyone,
I was running successful Facebook ads for my online Yoga and Ayurveda services targeting US clients.
2 months ago, my CPM was low, CTR good, and I was getting quality leads. Suddenly, everything died—CPM tripled, CTR below 0.5%, almost zero leads.
I tried fresh creatives, new ad accounts, but no improvement.

What could be the main reasons? Audience fatigue? Account reputation?
Any ideas to recover performance?

Thanks in advance for any tips!

Ouch, that FB ad crash hurts! :eek: Likely audience fatigue or algo shifts try broader targeting, retarget warm leads, and dynamic creatives to refresh

Your Facebook ad performance takes a sudden dip, often due to audience saturation or increased competition. To recover, completely refresh your ad copy, expand your target audience, and test your landing page.

Such a performance drop is often a sign of a combination of factors: creative fatigue, duplicate or saturated audiences, and a lack of overall account authority. If you’ve tried new creative and new accounts without seeing any improvement, it may be a matter of distribution strategy and campaign structure. Try streamlining your campaigns, focusing on a few small, highly engaged audiences rather than spreading yourself too thin. Also, double-check factors like budget ratios between campaigns, delivery times, and avoiding audience overlap. Restarting from a lean campaign framework, patiently A/B testing each element, can sometimes yield better results.

Facebook frequently updates its ad algorithms, which can affect ad delivery and performance. Advertisers do report sudden CPM spikes and performance drops, which can later normalize

Yeah, sounds like something deeper than just ad fatigue. If new creatives and accounts didn’t help, I'd look at things like domain trust or landing page quality. FB sometimes silently throttles reach if something on the backend gets flagged. Also possible your audience pool got too narrow or overlapped too much. Have you tried running the same offer through a fresh domain or slightly reframed funnel? Sometimes even small changes help reset performance.

Happens more often than people admit. If even fresh creatives and audiences didn’t help, I’d lean toward backend issues, domain flagged, account trust dipping, pixel behavior off.

Sometimes just pushing harder makes it worse. Try cloning the setup but switch domain or funnel style slightly, and go again with low spend. If it picks up, you’ve got your answer

Sometimes it’s not just the creatives or audience fatigue — Meta can silently flag your ad accounts or business manager, especially if you’ve scaled aggressively . switching to a more stable setup with a fresh structure (BM + account + page) helped recover results.

Why not try duplicating the exact thing you have done previously?

Hello,
Your case may be due to many reasons. However, you have not presented the details, so we can only give you a few suggestions for you to check again to see if there are any problems that need to be fixed later:
- Your account is weak, not yet trusted by Facebook. Here, we are not only talking about the advertising account, but the cause may be from the fan page, the personal account that directly manages that advertising account;
- There is a violation or misunderstanding of Facebook's policy (such as products, target audience under 18 years old, ... this issue sometimes depends on the law of that country);
- Having technical problems or unsuccessful payment problems;
- Repeated advertising without innovation can also be the reason why the meta reduces the distribution of your product;

Some times Meta has something wrong in their system, what you should do is leave it there until the system recovers.

Check for common issues: ad rejection, low page quality, billing errors, or account restrictions. Also review recent edits or policy flags. Sometimes, pausing and duplicating the campaign helps reset delivery.

So many bullsh- Chatgpt replies here omg. I have heard of this happening because of Facebooks new AI they're bringing in. That's what I have been reading on Reddit

A performance drop may signal creative fatigue, duplicate audiences, or low account authority. If new creatives and accounts aren't helping, streamline your campaigns by focusing on a few engaged audiences. Check budget ratios, delivery times, and avoid audience overlap. A lean campaign and A/B testing can improve results.

Decreased performance can be due to a loss of reputation of the account or fanpage, policy violations, or too many duplicate ads. You should check the quality of the account, refresh the content, try the campaign on another clean account, and make sure it does not violate Meta's advertising policies.

Maybe your ad is outdated, the ad is constantly repeated, making customers bored and no longer attractive, you should change the ad, create attractive content images.

Your drop in performance could be due to:
-Audience fatigue (same people seeing your ads too often)
-Ad account or BM trust issues
-Seasonal trends
or algorithm shifts
Fixes:

-Refresh audience targeting (new interests, lookalikes)
-Use warmed-up or agency ad accounts
-Test different ad formats (Reels, lead forms, etc.)
-Scale slowly to rebuild trust
Worth testing each step to pinpoint the cause.

Likely audience fatigue or FB throttling. Even with new creatives, switching accounts can hurt pixel learning. Try a fresh angle, test cold vs warm audiences, and check feedback score. Using aged or agency accounts might help stabilize performance.

Sounds like audience fatigue or account quality issues. Meta’s algorithm sometimes resets performance due to repeated creatives or poor feedback. Try new creatives, fresh ad accounts, or build a warm-up campaign with engagement first.

Facebook will not keep an effective ad forever, they will require new and more creative ads for their platform
And the customer file will also have a certain limit that needs to be exploited each time
You need to completely change the creative and content, edit the target a bit by dropping the pin location +10km for example
