Well, it's been nearly a year of DS'ing from Amazon to eBay. Although I've done ok from it (enough to pay the bills), I've decided to add my thoughts and experiences in this niche.

I was using a couple accounts that started off as unlimited, and my MO was to scrape thousands of Amazon listings and have them up on eBay.

Some of the negatives that I've encountered are: ending up with temp listing bans ranging from 3 to 30 days. If DS is your sole income (and your main account), then this can throw a spanner in the works. You can get temp bans for: selling VERO, copyright violations, and selling banned/prohibited items. I was getting so many temp bans, that I created a bot to filter all the crap, but it's difficult to do this en masse. You will find that eventually your ac will get limited (ie your sales with be throttled).

Another issue you'll face is dumb customers, so be prepared to spend time emailing back and forth.

You may also find that your Amazon Prime ac gets shut down, so be prepared for that also. Try not to keep too much funds in Amazon, as you may lose it.

You will obviously need to pay for things like: eBay/PP fees, eBay store subscription, price checker, and to pay for Amazon Prime, so it can all add up.

The only way to avoid all this is to spread the risk with several accounts, but this can be a nightmare to maintain (not to mention the crap with PP re 21 day limits, etc).

I received another temp ban this morning, so I've decided to give up on this venture and look into other money making ideas. It just isn't worth my time and effort.

It's never as easy as people who wants to make money by selling you something to help you do it make it sound.

Did you ever get restricted from selling until you uploaded invoices for your products? If so did you get passed the restriction? I'm currently waiting on eBay to reply back to me on this matter

And you didnt even say us about constant price changes on Amazon, and item out of stock problem. Must be you used some tool for that too?

Anyway, why so many bans? Is it illegal to dropship from Amazon to Ebay?

Never received an MC011, but every time I call to increase limits, I tell them I DS from Amazon. It seems they've become more lax over this.

There are many repricers, you need to look on the ebay threads on BHW. I won't recommend one, as I use my very own bot. No, it isn't illegal to DS afaik, but it *may* change in the future - who knows?

dropshipping through amazon prime is not allowed, it's explicitly stated in the prime terms and conditions. dropshipping without prime is ok however.

How do you pay for amazon prime with a stealth account? I've tried doing this and got my account closed with over $2k worth of gift cards in it.

The best way to go at it is to build your own solution. Build a platform that takes care of almost everything for you. That way, you don't have to pay for services that cuts into your profit. Once you have most of the kinks worked out, you should modify your platform to allow scalability, that is to manage multiple ebay accounts at once. When you're managing 4 ebay accounts that's churning out $400 a day, you can hire a guy to deal with the customers.

Python with flask is probably the best way to start. You'll also need to treat it like a real business if you want to get anywhere.
