I've been working with NiceNic recently for one of my domains, and honestly, the experience has been a breath of fresh air.

I've used registrars like Namecheap and GoDaddy for years, and the biggest difference is simply being able to talk to a real person when something goes wrong. Having someone on Telegram who understands the situation, knows what's at stake, and actually helps you solve the problem makes a huge difference.

Recently, I've been dealing with a lot of false reports from a competitor, and NiceNic has consistently been there to support me and help move things forward. That kind of support is worth a lot. At this point, it's not even about the price. I'd rather pay more for a domain, even x3 of the price and know that there's a team behind it, instead of constantly worrying that it could be taken down because of a bad-faith report.

I've lost several domains in the past and had some really frustrating experiences with other registrars, so having a registrar that actually cares feels almost unreal.

I'm not trying to promote them or anything. I just think we’re often quick to talk about bad experiences and rarely take the time to mention when someone does things right.

I haven't tried every registrar out there, so I can't make a full comparison, but based on my experience so far, NiceNic has been excellent. The support actually care and are so friendly.

This is completely the opposite of what I and other have experienced.

Example:
https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/looking-for-a-dmca-ignored-domain-bulletproof-to-stop-falsely-abused-complaints.1830953/

"I've received multiple complaints about a false mass report that people were trying to take my site down. There is no gambling, child porn, doxxing, or phishing content on my site. Just a game community. NiceNIC support wasn't going to listen to me; I've explained 2 times. Again, they still ask to take my content down."

NiceNic: Stay away if you want to stay online.

Thanks for sharing your experience. Reliable domain registrars with decent support are always worth keeping track of.

Really appreciate you taking the time to share this.

For anyone reading, just to clarify one point: we take abuse reports seriously, and each case is reviewed carefully and fairly based on the available facts and evidence before a conclusion is reached.

We’re glad our handling of the situation made a difference for you. Feedback like this is genuinely helpful in understanding what customers value when they need our support.

Thanks again for sharing your experience.

So what qualifies as actionable abuse report? Simply copyright qualify?

Hi @nlvps, thank you for asking.

Copyright on its own is not DNS abuse. If the same complaint also includes evidence of DNS abuse like phishing, we handle that part under the DNS abuse process.

If there is actionable evidence of DNS abuse, we take the appropriate mitigation action required under https://www.icann.org/resources/pages/advisory-compliance-dns-abuse-obligations-raa-ra-2024-02-05-en.
