It's sad knowing that some people don't think of pets as part of the family. A few years ago I was driving behind a car that hit a dog and kept on going. A few other people and myself pulled right over and went to the dog in the middle of the road and just sat with him and petted him while he took his last breaths. The dog had a coppar on and i knew where the road on the collar was. One of the other people there got a blanket out of his trunk and we wrapped the dog in the blanket and put it in my trunk. I then drove to the owners house with the other guy following me in his car.
I'll never forget the look on the owner's face when we told her what happened. But she was so thankful that a couple of complete strangers would do all that we did for a dog.
Pets are as much a part of families as people are. I'm sorry for your loss. I hope you find some comfort in all the memories I'm sure you have with him.
This is the most realistic feeling you ever get. It's like your little kid dying in front of you...
We came home to find her in the Street Still BARELY alive (Head ran over) And In the back I myself watched her breathe every 30 seconds for about 3 minutes until She took one Deep breath and gave wayHad it been my other dog I would be cutting my wrists...
