My Dog Took it's last few breaths in front of me

Sorry for your loss man, I've had to put a dog of 15 years to sleep that I grew up with. Watching
something you've loved for that long take its last breath in front of you is never easy..

We're fragile little things with expiration dates, regardless of how tough we try to act sometimes..

The day I had to put my old buddy down was the worst day ever. That old mutt was very special to me.

Still miss him....

I am very sorry about it. RIP

When my dog passed away after 14 years, I cried like a baby. It is very sad to loose a pet because its a real family member.

I have had my dog of 17 years (born 2 years before I was) die back when I was in junior high, quite a few years ago. It was really rough on me, she was more than a pet to our family, she was part of the family. Just remember your dog is in a place free of any pain and discomfort, and she is waiting for you in heaven.

R.I.P Scarlet .
I just lost my " baby " cat, 13 years always following me . I know how you feel :(
There a a member more of the family , they only difference is that they will never cheat you . They are more than a friend, cause their a like a baby to us , our babies .

i have seen one of my pet rabbits take its last breath and die in front of me a few years ago.It was so hard to take emotionally.but her memories are still alive.RIP Scarlet

Sorry to hear this and wish you all the best. I know what it's like to lose a loving pet as many of us do but to lose your family friend like that is terrible.
RIP Scarlet.

Very sad to hear man, my sympathies, I had to put mine to sleep a couple years back and i had him since he was 2 weeks old. It does feel like you lost a very dear family member.

Sorry to hear that man, I loosed my dog too 3 years ago , and it suck`s.he was my best friend

I am so sorry to hear that. I saw a dog died in front of my house after being shot to death by the authority, which was very depressing, because I love dogs. It happened more than 10 years ago when I was a child. Although it wasn't my dog, I felt the pain.

I am sorry to hear that, I had a cat that I raised since she was born, she died 2 years ago after a great illness she had a month before she died. I can feel your loss. Feels like losing a best friend.

I am so sorry for your loss. I had to bury my little kitty with my own hands when he passed away-- it was the worst feeling ever :(

But remember, as another user said:

if you gave him/her a warm place to sleep, food, protection and luxuries, then you shouldn't be so hard on yourself.

Take it easy man. Cry it out if you need to, it might even help a little.

Best Wishes

Really sorry to hear this.

Sorry for your loss.

Had a similar experience when my mother`s dog had to be put down. She asked me to come and support her and I though`t I would be a rock, but as soon as her little eyes rolled back and she went limp I went to pieces, crying my eyes out. Really imbarassing as the vet was extremely hot, however I guess she liked the sensitive guy, because we ended up going out for a few months. Every cloud ;)
