This is the most realistic feeling you ever get. It's like your little kid dying in front of you...

We came home to find her in the Street Still BARELY alive (Head ran over) And In the back I myself watched her breathe every 30 seconds for about 3 minutes until She took one Deep breath and gave way :( Had it been my other dog I would be cutting my wrists...

Here's to My BH Dog Scarlet The Black mouth Cur
I'll love you and miss you and may Your Soul Will be Peaceful

:( But Is this Really happening?

Damn sorry to hear that. Losing a pet is really bad.

I remember i lost my pet rabbit floppy. We were playing with him the day before and woke up the next morning and he wasnt out of his pen and found him in his little house not alive.

My dad even cried.

My sympathies. It is very hard to lose a pet, they are like family members. You and yours will be in my thoughts and prayers.

peace - gregs.

In our daily struggle to survive we all seem to lose sight of how precious all life is.

Thanks everyone. I Really appreciate it

Sorry to hear this, and really get it. Think of the good times man. Spend time together looking at photos, vids of your pup. Drink, cry. And be happy for your pup that she got to be with you at the end, be thankful for that small mercy. Damn, to quote the other BHWer, tearing up here too and I don't even know you / Scarlet! Woof.

Yeah, three years ago I saw a squirrel get caught by a dog, I cried for a week. Sill even today when I think about it, sniff, sniff, I cry.

I know how you feel... But believe me, I felt like shit when similar thing happened to me...

My grandfather passed away in front of me... It was no easy death, he died in front of me and took the 911 20 minutes to arrive... It was too late

Been 1 year almost... I have lost pets too.. but this feeling is much more overwhelming

My dog is my best friend. She literally goes with me EVERYWHERE I go.

Second most important thing to me besides my girlfriend. (And it's really close)

It sucks the way he passed away, but if you gave him/her a warm place to sleep, food, protection and luxuries, then you shouldn't be so hard on yourself.

Thanks and sorry for the people who've lost Pets/Family I hope I don't bring
Back unwanted feelings for you. But Hey Time Heals Everything

Im so so sorry to hear this.
I know exactly how it feels. I had a dog for 18 years (more than half my life) and watched him pass away.
It gets better with time but never goes away.

A dog is your buddy. He can never be mad, he apologizes when you are mad, even when it is not his fault. You don't get more love from anyone than from your dog. Sorry to hear man!

It's sad knowing that some people don't think of pets as part of the family. A few years ago I was driving behind a car that hit a dog and kept on going. A few other people and myself pulled right over and went to the dog in the middle of the road and just sat with him and petted him while he took his last breaths. The dog had a coppar on and i knew where the road on the collar was. One of the other people there got a blanket out of his trunk and we wrapped the dog in the blanket and put it in my trunk. I then drove to the owners house with the other guy following me in his car.

I'll never forget the look on the owner's face when we told her what happened. But she was so thankful that a couple of complete strangers would do all that we did for a dog.

Pets are as much a part of families as people are. I'm sorry for your loss. I hope you find some comfort in all the memories I'm sure you have with him.

hateandbreak, what I did after I lost my little girl Nirvi is
taped this picture of her running in front of a lake on a sunny
day right where I could see it.. It was before she got old and sick.
She was happy and running so fast all 4
feet were off the ground. :)

I'm sorry to hear about your loss.

Did the dog escape or an outside dog?
