Haha, op there affiliate system is one of the most shaving one, what do you think they offer coupons and those high commissions for? they know how to reap it off ;D never promote them in my opinion

although there hosting is very reliableI went through this exact same thing. In my opinion, HG affiliate program is a scam. You send them business, you make commissions, they extended them, when it's time to pay out, it's reversed. I think just about everyone that promotes HG goes through this.
About the only thing you can do is stop promoting them and report them to CJ. CJ isn't going to want advertisers in their network that does this, so report them. There are lots of web hosting companies out there that offer affiliate programs, select a different one. They may not pay as high as HG, but atleast they'll pay, hopefully.

Hosting affiliate systems can be frustrating. Fatcow has owed me $500 since April. I have spent hours on the phone with them but there is one affiliate manager there who is never around.
i learned my lesson and am now using host gator's reseller program. So much better now I make residual income that is much more reliable. It is also infinitely easier to manage my clients because I have full control over their accounts.

I've been Hostgator affiliate for over 2 years and know all their tricks. The only commission status that you can't actually verify is "Duplicate" which means that the customer supposedly already had an account with them in the past. I've had at least 2 sales wrongly marked that I've actually proved to be wrongly marked and got my commissions rewarded. Those were commissions of my friends for whom I could directly check (ask them) if they've had hosting with Hostgator in the past. I'm sure there were at least dozen more commissions like these that I couldn't prove for being wrongly marked as duplicate and I will never get paid for. But they do pay and quite generously...

Commission Junction pays quite generously. HG pays about $30 per referal to start, I think. It might be $50. Regardless.

They pay $50. Commission Junction is better if you make less than 10 sales a month. If you make more, then Hostgator's inhouse affiliate program is better since they pay more. I've heard bad things about CJ though, so I've never really tried promoting HG through them. Good thing about Hostgator's inhouse affiliate program is also payment method which is Paypal compared to CJ's check.

Yeah you should not give up. I have heard these scamming stories before too.

Had the exact same issue with a mate of mine, he gave me a discount code I tried to use it and was still being charged the full amount at checkout. I got onto live support and resolved the issue, I then informed my mate that I had used it. He went to check his balance and had been denied it because I went to checkout with it the first time and then cancelled it because of the full fee. Because I had gone to purchase the package and then backed out because the discount wasn't being knocked of they classed that as me registerin! HG Suck for paying out!! There hosting on the other hand I can't moan about

If your sales are legitimate, you get your money. Every CPA network has "bad news/reports" by someone from somewhere. That is inevitable. However, I would prefer a check over paypal considering paypal steals more peoples money than Bank Of America. They're ridiculous, I wouldn't tell my worst enemy to use them.

I was looking for a comment like this! Exactly what we do. Why settle for a one-time $100 when you can pull $10-20/mo per client?

You can do it with multiple clients. $100 each in your CJ. It gets reversed, you call and prove your legitimacy. It's simple stuff really. It hasn't happened every time. Just an experience that a solution to is obvious and I posted about it.

Don't get too happy too quickly. With Hostgator you didn't earn anything until you actually have the money in your account.

With an affiliate program that you haven't been paid by yet, that's true.
