I'm curious too.

At the 30% cut-loss rule, it seems most would have all been cut by now. Unless the rule is to cut at the end of the 30-day max window. Looks like BTC might go sub 7k.

If my sloppy math is correct

LTC: $176 (now $133) ->> (-25%)
NEM: $0.93 (now $0.47 ) ->> (-50%)
BCH: $1,614 - (now $958) ->> (-41%)
IOTA: $2.45 - (now $1.55) ->> (-37%)
BTC: $10,780 - (now $7,200) ->>(-33%)

I have cut loss on all position currently. If there is rebound I would get into the game again. But if there is a further drop it will mean that my remaining capital can be put to better use.

So how you doing now?

By my reckoning you're down between 30% and 50% on the coins above since last Thursday - not even 1 week.

At the numbers in Dollars that's about -$105K in 5 days.

Have you sold them all?

Actually I have cutloss on last Friday. Took a loss of around 24%. Not too bad move considering if I were to hold the losses could have escalated. Standing by the side for now till the selling pressure eases. From the look of it, there should be further down side due to losses accumulated and alot of investors cashing out for fear of losing their profits. Maybe when the selling pressure eases, there could be further upside.

For those who are invested (not trading) my advice to you is to hold if the fundamental of the crypto that causes you to invest in the first place did not change. However if the fundamental changes then you might want to consider to exit if you are still in the green. Example, abc crypto was invested because it is a gateway to ICO and allow ease of fund raising through issuance of token. This fundamental is no longer true so get out immediately as the authority is going to clamp down on such ease of fund raising very soon.

Another example, if you are investing because of actual usage of the token/coin increasing and the roadmap timeline is being met, there is no reason to panic sell.

For trader, do not try to short crypto. You can go crazy with shorting crypto as current liquidity in the market can cause spike or huge dive in price. Look for opportunity to long when selling pressure eases. Go back to the chart and look at daily candlestick. Look out for a big candlestick that has causes a start of appreciation in value for that crypto. And if the low of this candle is not breach and price hovers around that area. It means the selling pressure has ease (at least until further negative news). And there is a good chance for a rebound.

The logic with this approach lies in this. In the first place that crypto value was push up and even during down turn the initial group of buyers are still not selling off since they are not losing money. They can afford to hold and sustain the value. This assumption is true up to the point if there is more negative news and this initial group of buyers decided to jump ship. This is where you need to cut your losses and get out. I know this is hard to understand but if you are an experienced trader you will know what I am talking about.

How caan the fundamentals have changed?

In a company you can see the fundamentals - turnover, profit, assets, liabilities,etc.

These are digital tokens that have zero turnover, zero application, it's all (to use a stock market term) jam tomorrow - there are no fundamentals in the first place.

It's just hype, speculation, flim-flam, and pumping and dumping.

A recipe for disaster for the poor fools who really believe the drivel spouted about the various coins and who think they're going to get rich with no experience of investing, no knowledge, ability to think for themselves, or money that isn't borrowed.

When the dust settles there are going to be thousands of people who are bankrupt.

I am not an investor of Crypto so cannot really answer you. I am just a trader of crypto. If opportunities arises I would trade anything under the Sun for profits as long as there is liquidity.

Erm, I do differ from your view with regards to bankruptcy as I think the relevant authorities has taken the right step to limiting the availability of credits and leverages. If one cannot borrow to invest, at most they can only lose what they have. Not going to affect the society by large from my point of view.

Nevertheless I hope that some who have read this thread has put in their stoploss and avoided heavy losses or losing bulk of their profits.

Why this moment in particular?
I think we are in a bull trap and btc could touch 4.8k-5.3k in next 3 weeks.

What makes you think that? Everyone seems very bullish right now apart from the typical negative people

Nice chart. If you're right I'll just buy more when it's around 5-6k :D

Disclaimer: I am not saying that I am right in my assumption for these trades.

I am looking at support of pricing gaining strength and no further breaches towards support. So my assumption on this trade is that a rebound in pricing should happen within the next few weeks. However that is based upon my assumption. I do not predict the market. So if my assumption is wrong, I cut loss and move on. If I am right, I will just set a trailing stoploss so that profits are protected.

Let us see in a while to see if my assumption is correct.

If your interested in trading crypto, I'd suggest to look into genesis vision $Gvt. 3.7M circulating supply. Currently $50M market cap. Trade volume at about $1M. This is a traders (and long time holders dream).

There are a few reasons why I'm bullish about gvt. First, the low supply is going to make each token high in value. And second, once the platform launches in April, you can use your gvt token, give it to a trade manager to invest in forex (more assets later on) and get even more gain out of the investment.

Just thought I'd share!

Thanks for the share. One quick question. I can easily exchange fiat to trade on forex why do I need to use a token for this case?

That's a great question. From your perspective, you would probably be interested in the trade manager aspect. As a trade manager, you would accept the gvt token of either 1 or several investors and would invest in either crypto, forex, stocks, or hedge funds through your broker.

From an investor perspective this appeals to me because I'm not interested at all in forex or stocks but if the trade manager can show results (which the platform does) then I have no issue with trading my tokens. Another positive is that there is 100% transparency on where the trades are going. With this platform, wolf of Wallstreet would never have happend.

You can check out the tournament that is going on right now and ends next week. This is a test run before the launch in April to work out bugs and shows both investors and trade managers how it works.

All the above are currently in profit zone and I have set my trailing stop loss above my breakeven price. If pricing goes up further,good, else i will still be in for some profits. My current paper profits has more than covered my previous losses.

What exactly made you buy NEBL? It was very steady with little movement however shot up like crazy a couple days after your purchase.
Just trying to figure out what exactly I need to look for when going through charts. Buying the oversold seems too easy.

Look in my initial post, I have stated my method of trading setup. Basically it is an assumption that holds true if the support line is not broken. The logic is that prices tends to rebound as long as initial buyer that support the price appreciation in the first place do not bail out. Why is this so? Due to market supply and demand.

Example, for abc crypto rise to $100 value from $50, 1,000 unit was purchased. Supply in circulation is thus limited as original holder of this crypto starts to get greedy hoping for higher prices.This causes a squeeze in supply that results in higher premium being paid in order to buy.

Buying oversold is not so simple as it seems. You need a few candlestick (daily chart) to affirm that your assumption stands.

Quite hard for me to explain in writing as alot of these knowledge are based upon trading experiences. If it were that simple to understand, everyone will be a trader by now. There is no easy or free money from my point of view.

All my holding are strongly in the green at the moment.

it'd be interesting if you kept daily stats on your portfolio so we could see it. I'd love to see the numbers personally.

While I agree with the LT target of $100K for BTC, I think we've seen the ATH for the year. BTC will form a long-term triangle, between $15K-$8K, and consolidate around $10K, prior to a breakout to the upside.

As you requested.

LTC: $160 - $30,000 -> Current Price $245 -> Profit est 53% / $15,900
NEM: $0.54 - $15,000 -> Current Price $0.52 -> Loss est (0.38%) / (-$57)
NEBLIO: $13.40- $30,000 -> Current Price $18 -> Profit est 34% / $10,200
XLM: $0.395 - $20,000 -> Current Price $0.44 -> Profit est 11% / $2,200
BTC: $8,240 - $150k -> Current Price $11,600 -> Profit est 40% / $60,000
MCO: $6.90 - $30,000 -> Current Price $9.31 -> Profit est 34% / $10,200

Unrealised profits = $98,443/-
Less previous loss of $28,000
Gross unrealised profits = $70,443

I tend not to predict the pricing because I do not own any of these crypto that I am trading. I am more focus on market strength on movement aka price action trading. Charting w/ prediction of market pricing, well I will say this is near impossible unless you own the product that you are trading or you quantify with fundamental stats. Example, buying asset that are below their book value. This means that when you buy that asset you can stripe out the higher value asset and sell it at a higher pricing.
