"Did CDC ‘Quietly Update’ COVID-19 Deaths To Say Only 6% Are Legitimate?"
SNOPES: Lets make-up a title and NOT reference it for the rest of the article and call it FALSE.

Did you even read that article?!?

HAHAHA - SNOPES:
Snopes claim "false" but, reference, literally, verbatim, the facts from CDC and post them in the article.

So we should just let millions of people die because they are old or have a preexisting condition, since covid is not deadly?

So we should just let millions of people die because they are old or have a preexisting condition, since covid is not deadly?
Yes, exactly, that's what every kid that thinks himself better will tell you.
If I were older, I would create an army of old people only for killing kids like them.

So we should just let millions of people die because they are old or have a preexisting condition, since covid is not deadly?

YES! It may sound harsh but there are likely more people dying out of fear going to the hospital to get treatment for cancer and other high mortality but treatable ailments. People with depression/suicide and other secondary impacts from the lock downs.

A big part of the problem is media sensationalism.
- MILLIONS WILL DIE! (Click here to find out how you can live)
- The hospitals will be over run! (An in-depth look at how hospitals might kill you)
- We don't have treatment facilities! (Never before seen footage of field hospitals to support overflowing hospitals)
- And my favorite: Bored doctors and nursing doing line dancing on TicTok

Some more data.... It's great for all to remain informed and self educated.

World COVID Deaths:
1,121,429

Current World Population
~7,819,641,432

1,121,429 / 7,819,641,432 =

0.00014341182 % global chance you will die
WITH Corona Virus

0.00000860471 % global change you will die OF Corona Virus (using the 6% without co-morbid conditions by CDC). Obviously, more micro geography plays a role as well. Additionally, so does age.

Per the CDC (USA), the number of COVID-19 vs. other deaths.

If there were no lockdowns, mask requirements and travel decline, the number of people that died would be much higher.

If there were no lockdowns, mask requirements and travel decline, the number of people that died would be much higher.

What do you base that off of? The Karens on FB and in the news?

The CDC data literally says:
"American, regardless of age arr far more likely to die from something other than COVID-19."

I'm tired of the lockdowns. Hurt me in my 9-5... set me back a whole EFFING year.

Well I'm my country. the government is genius, lockdown kill the business, let worker suffer from salary cut or even no Sallry. Than give relief package that only worth 20% of the salary for those that still got salary. For those fired 15% only. But you late 1 day pay electricity, no electricity for you, late pay on your loan? Yeah debt collector will terror you. So does tax and all the bills. The covid kill, but government regulation killl more people.

Most countries lockdown to protect their public healthcare system from collapsing...
If you are from EEUU probably you know nothing about government healthcare, but it exists in other countries :)

Everyone has there own "opinion" on what is going on with COVID-19. Personally, I believe it was planned and I think it is a fear campaign followed to manipulate that masses. Why, I'm not sure but I truly think it most of it will go away after the USA election.

I've attached some informative charts for anyone interested in reading.

There is a whole other side to effects of COVID that I think are much harsher and nothing is being reported about it:
- Kids are experiencing psychological and emotional trauma from being isolated and masked
- Domestic abuse has increased drastically
- Sexual abuse has increased drastically
- Suicide rates are heavily increased
- Small businesses are being wiped our by the thousands
- The fabric of society is being demoralized and shredded apart.

You are all entitled to your own opinion, here are just some of the facts that lead to why I hold my opinion.

The models were astronomically incorrect. Some models predicted 2.2 Million deaths in the USA! Nations are responding as though those models have proven true, but they haven't.

Here is a link to the model claiming 2.2 Million deaths

There was a lack of difference between those that died WITH Covid and FROM Covid. Once published, the data sets change significantly.

The media et. al keep pushing "Cases" and "Deaths" why don't they publish and report on SURVIVAL RATES?!?
Seriously, there is better than a 99.9% rate of surviving COVID...

The percentage rates drop for those that are 70+ and unhealthy. It's not unrealistic or out of the ordinary for old and sick people to die.

COVID-19 has, according to the WHO, been the most effective cure for Influenza.
They share, essentially, the same symptoms.
View attachment 149413

The total US Deaths year over year are essentially, unchanged. In 2019 there were only 2.5 months of "COVID" season. In 2018 and 2020, the numbers are off by 1000 but in 2018, there were no lockdowns during flu seasons. One can argue the numbers are lower BECAUSE of the lock downs, masks and protocols. The reality is, we can't measure.

Again, just *MY* opinion. The above is just a sample of what is NOT being reported on. There is a ton more available if you get outside the mainstream or government sponsored media.
I swear, covid19-skepticist are the flat-Earthers of 2020.

The virus has nothing to do with the US, with its elections or anything of that sort. Try to see the bigger picture and don't restrict yourself to your own country, even if it happens to be the United States of America.

You (me neither) can't grasp the real seriousness of the situation until you're in it deep, e.g. working in an overwhelmed hospital.

You can interpret data to prove your point and others can interpret the same data to prove theirs, no surprise in this. And when this data majorly changes from one day to another, because they change methodology like you change your underwear, that shows how seriously you should take any of those numbers. Or which happened in a few countries, they can say, oops, sorry, we didn't include neither the dead from nursery homes, nor who died at home, we counted hospital deaths only. Numbers don't lie, but until humans put those numbers on paper, they can lie, sometimes unintentionally, but they can give you the wrong idea.

Anyhow, the data you're referring to is the result of the restrictions, that the virus isn't spreading freely. If it could spread freely, the situation would be the same in many places, what was the case in the beginning of the first wave in Italy, Spain, France, NYC etc., when there were no restrictions in place or there weren't any effects of the freshly introduced restrictions yet. Did you already forget about that or choose to ignore it? The situation was grim with overwhelmed hospitals, which got to the point, that they needed to store dead bodies in ice rinks, because there was no place in the morgues anymore. This is not a phantasmagory, this is not media sensationalism, all of this has happened just a few months back, when they needed to face the virus unprepared, plus in the US there was a good amount of skepticism on government and state level in the beginning, which cost a lot of lives.

When it's already proven how the virus spreads (from human to human via droplets majorly), i don't think that you need further proof, you simply need to lack common sense to say that masks or lockdowns don't work. Just take a look at closed environments like nursing homes, where the virus could spread freely in the beginning, because they were unaware, those places were literal petri dishes. If the virus got in, pretty much all the workers and all the people living in those homes were infected, many of them died. You can argue that they didn't die of the virus, but with the virus in their system, because they were already dying from something else. It's not the point, the point is that everyone got infected. The same thing is happening a lot rarely now, because in many countries these places are locked down, they upped their hygiene standards, they do social distancing, where they can, they screen the workers (because they're the only ones, who can bring the virus in) etc.

there are likely more people dying out of fear going to the hospital to get treatment for cancer and other high mortality but treatable ailments.
This is factually wrong. Here in Eastern Europe we had a "death deficit" (compared to the same months of previous years) throughout the spring months, while Western Europe was fighting with the virus and a lot more people died there than in previous years. Why? Simply because we were in time with the restrictions and due to the lockdown, it's not just that we stopped the spread of the virus, but there were no accidents, the flu wasn't killing people either etc. It's a big load of bollocks, that people die, because they fear of going to hospitals. They die, when there are no restrictions, hospitals get overwhelmed and doctors need to choose who to live and who to die. That's when non-covid patents die, because the beds are occupied with covid-patients and that's what countries try to prevent. Anyhow, this is also solved in most places by now, because there are dedicated hospitals to treat covid patients, so even if someone fears of getting infected in a certain hospital, they can go to other hospitals.

There is a whole other side to effects of COVID that I think are much harsher and nothing is being reported about it:
- Kids are experiencing psychological and emotional trauma from being isolated and masked - Stopped being an issue, kids are back to school, they don't have to wear masks under a certain age. There are no lockdowns anymore or just rarely.
- Domestic abuse has increased drastically - Stopped being an issue, there are no lockdowns anymore or just rarely.
- Sexual abuse has increased drastically - Stopped being an issue, there are no lockdowns anymore or just rarely.
- Suicide rates are heavily increased - There would be a lot more dead without the restrictions, than those who commit suicide due to the situation.
- Small businesses are being wiped our by the thousands - This is an issue, hence lockdowns and other strict measures are only the last resort these days.
- The fabric of society is being demoralized and shredded apart. - This sounds very theoretical, how does this look like in practice exactly? Whatever it means in your book, i don't experience any of this at all. Throughout the summer, when things almost went back to normal here, the society was just fine, it still is living by the new normal. Situation was bad, when the lockdown lasted, but it's majorly improved by now, even though we have a lot worse numbers now than in spring, but because there's no lockdown anymore, people get on with their lives almost as it was no virus at all, while obviously obiding the restrictions still in place.
Now there's no need for the most strict restrictions, lockdowns anymore, because most people are using masks, big gatherings are forbidden, the hospitals are better prepared, there are protocols in place, some of the medications are working, so hospitals can deal with the situation and we can live a somewhat normal life. At least this is the case now.

If you want to take the US as an example, at this present moment there are 15.5k covid19 patients in ICU in the US, these are not the amount of people in hospital, these are just the serious cases, intubated and whatnot. And this is while there are restrictions in place. I think, it's irresponsible to downplay the seriousness of the situation, however life can't stop, so we need to find the balance between our old lives and the new normal, which i think most people already figured out for themselves.

I wil open you up, no worry, next week everything wil be normal again.

The lockdowns and mask requirements slowed the spread
"The Spread" that is what you are programmed to focus on, the survival rate is over 99.9%. The "spread" is irrelevant, people get the flu and die every year and nobody tries to "stop the spread".

I swear, covid19-skepticist are the flat-Earthers of 2020.
Maybe, and all the normies that buy into the never-ending news hype are the same breed/kind of people that believed cigarettes were good for you and made you look cool. Even though medical doctors said they caused lung cancer, they chose to believe the paid advertising all over the data. The same situation is happening here. People aren't sourcing facts, they are reading headlines and paid opinion columns. There are multiple doctors that came out with peer reviewed independent studies that certain drugs made a significant improvement in the outcome of cases. Big Pharma didn't want a cheap/free solution available in the market. They (Bill Gates) intervened to push high priced product. The Gates Foundations and Indai have a particularly notable relationship that most people have not heard about.

This is the point I'm trying to make. Data can (and is) being spun to create a narrative. Why does EVERYONE talk about cases? Testing has proven repeatedly to be VERY inaccurate as such, cases would be skewed. The same for early reporting. Everyone that died WITH covid even after slitting their wrists or beign impaled through a windshield with instantaneous death was a COVID death. And, people believe they are COVID deaths not deaths with COVID, see @ExperimentalSEO opinion. I don't fault him for it, the media is pushing it.

This is factually wrong. It's apparent, many 'feel', the solution to health-care/society strain is to lock down the world population so there is less strain on the system? I believe there was a time in history when they created camps for people who didn't do as they were told, I'd have to go back and look exactly when it happened...
You can call me a flat earther 'type' all you want, here is some non-mainstream reality for you:
Canada is building camps right now.
There is a significant difference between being uneducated or ignorant of facts versus being completely misinformed while arguing your point.

You can disagree with me but calling me factually wrong without supplying any supporting facts nulls your argument and makes it an opinion.

If you want to take the US as an example, at this present moment there are 15.5k covid19 patients in ICU in the US, these are not the amount of people in hospital, these are just the serious cases, intubated and whatnot. I'm using the USA because their data is plentiful and their testing (as flawed as it may be) is far more voluminous than any other data sets.
I did a quick search and couldn't find any supporting data on the amount of 'serious' or 'ICU' cases.
Despite their current status, many of those patients have a STATISTICALLY PROVEN survival rate of 99%+ those in the 70 year old plus age group drops to 94%+

Recently, The WHO started recommending countries not use lock downs as a primary means of virus containment.

Some good points, thanks for chiming in.
