My Competitor is getting 2k Likes a Day - Is that Abnormal? How is He Doing It?

I notice that my competitor is gaining about 2k facebook likes a day for for about 2 weeks now and I have no idea how he's doing it. Also when he post something new, it usually gets 150+ shares within 2-4 hours. How is he doing that? Does that even boost his rankings?

he is click jacking off another site , clicks on site 1 are cloaked , under the jack script theres a like button to his page , so people like on site 2 ( which is the site ur seeing. )

Does that work with share too? I thought you need confirmation for a like, no? Where can I get this click jacking script?

He/she could just be using good ol' fashioned link bait.

Step 1: Write an article with a catchy title
Step 2: Make the article relevant to problems/issues most people have in their life
Step 3: Add it to digg, reddit, etc.

I've seen people get anywhere from 30k-60k visits and thousands of likes, plus 1, tweets in a day or two just from doing the above.
