My autoblog got email for Trademark

Don't believe it , it could your competitor, nothing weird with your website..

thx for to you all that is responding to my thread

anyway here is the email she had use [email protected] and that was the right email because i'm replying to that too.

You can visiting the site lw.com and see it :(

the site is down, Proactive Acne Treatment and Proactiv Acne Solution are two totally different products, if you are not associating their images with your own products then you are good. Tell them that Proactive is not a misspell, it is a trademark. And if they continue they are harassing you.

You'll be fine, they are most likely just wanting your traffic. :p

I usually respond to such emails with a photo of a freakin big pennis and I get no more from that sender :D

This actually might be a legit cease and desist....

I would question whoever sent the email a little more about the topic, but from the looks of this, it's a legitimate email.

Just my .02 though... :)

Email her back, tell her the email she sent was blank and ask her to resend it.
If she emails you back, I would drop the site and start on a new niche.

If she doesn't email you back, it could have just been a competitor emailing you and spoofing the "Reply to:"

Whatever you do, don't list her email in a crawlable forum (like this one), otherwise the spam bots will find her email address and she will get thousands of emails about viagra and penis enlargement.

Stop marketing PROACTIV and/or PROACTIVE, remove all references and sell some other skin crap instead. The rest of your site is ok!!!

Why i must stop marketing proactiv and proactive since i sold their own product and not my own product ?

i'm already email her back and getting reply from her...

The last email i had sent to her is

I had tell you before that I take the products information from amazon.
So I think you should contacting amazon regarding proactive trademark because I?m only amazon affiliate/publisher.

If you still want to take me on the court then do it because I think I?m not in the wrong position since I?m only amazon publisher and selling the products from amazon.

What i know is i'm in the right side because i'm not making my own products and using proactiv or proactive for my own products.

I'm only an affiliate of amazon.

You are just an amazon publisher but you are making money with their trademark. It isn't like you just have a link to their product on amazon, you are using their name in your titles and tags to rank for their trademarked name. Stop doing that and you are good to go.

Trust me, I am not scolding you or anything as most of us do what you are doing here. Just don't think these people are fools because this is what they are paid to do. If ever you doubt these emails are real, pick up the phone and call them. All the legal people always attach numbers etc.

contact amazon and show them the letter. this has very likely happened before, yet they still let people sell their confusingly-named products on their web sites. so they should know how to deal with this issue.

The issue is just with the how he names the site. Call the site "XYZ's Acne Solution" and there is no problem. The way he has it set up is it looks like he is these Proactiv people and not just some guy promoting acne solutions. I don't think they are being unreasonable here. He got caught, change it and make a new .net site the same way. It's a cat and mouse game.

Sorry dude. I don't see an affiliate company bothering with your site. Obviously, you're just promoting your site.

well Keep us updated as to what she replies to your mail mate.

@beaglejuice: Open up your mind in correct direction. :)
