My Authority Website to $100+ a day!

I'm starting this thread because I feel like it will give me the motivation to work everyday to achieve my goal.

A little bit about me:
I have a college degree and a small blog that I do for fun. It is completely on autopilot because I got a lot of friends who are english majors who would write for free as long as I buy them a beer . I am a complete noob and this thread is inspired by "bluematter's" journey.

Goals:

• To achieve at least $100/day.
• Learn a little bit on on page and off page SEO.
• Work at least 6 hrs a day.

My Plan:

• Read up on the fundamentals of an Authority website and get to know a little more about SEO.
• Selecting my niche and doing research on it.
• Buy a domain, install wordpress, and design my website.
• Post a lot of articles.
• Apply for adsense!

This will be a big learning process for me. I will be giving updates on what I did and what I learned. Any tips/advice along the way would be nice.

He has no need and certainly shouldn't be telling people his niche. Too many people who jump on the bandwagon thinking they will make thousands because someone else is doing it.
Just means more unwanted competition for OP.

Congratulations on your journey mate. Take the most time in niche selection then start doing niche research.

Besides, ask yourself the following questions about your niche:
Is there money to be made here?
How fierce is the competition?
Is there demand and some gaps I can fill?
What is the trend in my niche?
What is the competition like? Go with relatively low competition niches

Keep going!! I am in the same process as you, just a bit ahead, I'm currently doing link building. I agree with your view on authority sites and ranking keywords more easily with time. I'd suggest that when picking your niche, try to find a niche with multiple keywords you can rank for. That way you can grow the site more by targeting all kinds of keywords

Good luck with your journey. If you pick a niche that you really like, also try doing some personal branding. This will allow you to increase your site's reach and secure guest posting opportunities and more. Just do a little each day and you will be on the road to success.
