Hello Everyone, this is my authority site journey, I've been lurking around for a while and been reading lots and not taking (much) action. So I am making this thread as a form of ownership of a project. My background is in authentication systems and I've always had a great interest in online marketing. My aim from this though as I am a busy bee in the offline world (which is technically online!) is to outsource much if not all of the work using services found here on BHW.

First step that I have heard is that keyword research is invaluable. Makes sense, whats the point in building a website around bad keywords! So I've got in contact with the highly regarded ardley216 and asked him for a helping hand in finding 10 keywords within the same niche (to start with). (for those that want to see ardley's services please look here http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...asy-keywords-7-100-5-reviews-easiest-bhw.html)

So this is my first post of the journey I know its a bit lame but lets see what I can do with this! I hope to have a better plan of attack soon (any suggestions are more than welcome of cause!).

    Thanks

(p.s apologies for my username its a very very very old username :) I'm really not that obnoxious! )

It's great to see you're taking action, and that you're starting off with proper keyword research (or buying properly researched ones) which is vital when it comes to building a site for organic traffic.
Good luck on your journey, please keep us updated on your progress.

Right, still waiting to hear back about the keywords, but I am doing some research on some content writing services. I think I have found the service I am going to use, seems to be well priced and reviews seem to be good as well. The content writing service is http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...ntent-writing-services-3-5-per-500-words.html.

Once I've got these keywords I can start structuring the site and buying the domain name and fire the keywords over to the content writers and start to get this show on the road!

Hi Guys, Just a small update I have received contact from Ardley and I have ordered 10 Keywords I hope to receive them too ardley was kind enough to help me obtain keywords in the same niche focusing on adsense keywords. He seems to be really great to deal with so far and willing to go above and beyond I hope that it becomes a great working relationship! Lets see how Ardley's keywords perform over the next few months!

    Current Costs

    $80 Keywords

    Earnings:
    $0

Ardley's a great guy to deal with, I'm sure he's set you up with some decent keywords.
One piece of advice when ordering content, always make sure you request some samples before ordering so that you know what to expect. I have tried a lot of different content writing services here on BHW and I've found Keyboard Warriors (by andres) and FuryKyle's service to be great for my needs, however they start at either 1.5 or 3$ per 100 words.
I don't want to draw any conclusions without having tried a service, but getting a thoroughly researched and well written article for just €3,5 / 500 words seems to good to be true (which it usually is).

    Good luck!

    Hi,

just came by your thread after reading through the Ardley keyword service thread.
Sounds like you are doing the same as I plan, so keep up the good work with updates and let us know how it goes.

I will be making my own journey thread soon, but would really like to hear your honest reviews of both Ardleys service but also the content writers.
I feel it is very hard to find proper good content writers with who I can trust the content of my sites, often I find myself rewrithing almost every phrase of the text I have purchased, just so it lives up to my standard.

    Have a good one! :)

Thanks for the comments guys and thanks for the heads up sbndnb very much appreciated. I don't mind paying for quality content to be honest. What I am going to do is reserve judgement on the content writers probably try a few (i.e spread the workload across a few price points low medium and high) and see what articles they come out with. Ill pop in the thread the 3 content writers I choose (so any suggestions are great to hear like sbndnb has done) ill then pinpoint a few probably ask them for a few examples of the niche and then contract them to write a few articles and see which ones read the best etc and rate and review them within this journey. Thanks for stopping by guys!

    Cheers

I don't really understand why people think they can outsource everything from the beginning and still expect success. 95% of people fail at returning any substantial profit through online ventures and you want to outsource everything from the keywords to the content on the website. I could see this working if you understand the niche well and delegate a lot of start-up capital and time, but it seems like you are just trying to do as little as possible. Now if this is just a small venture that you are experimenting with, then that's fine, but I wouldn't expect this journey to result in anything substantial unless you put in the work.

You ordered these keywords from someone online through a "Black-hat" community and then you are ordering some articles from another person you found in the marketplace section , so why do you expect a positive result? If these are such good keywods, and all it takes it throwing some money at half-assed articles ( which is what you'll get paying $5-$15 an article ), what's stopping anyone else with half a brain from doing the same? Unless you are a god at building reputable back-links or you plan to edit each article thoroughly, what makes your site an "authority". Authority means it's a leading source for content in your niche, not that it has "x" amount of articles. The amount of article you have on the website does not make it authority. What about your site is going to encourage me to visit it again or share it with my friends?

I apologize from being so negative as I myself have not made much through online means either, but I hate to see people dumping money into useless ventures only to be encouraged by others that are attempting to do the same. It's like a friend that encourages you to smoke cigarettes; if you smoke cigarettes too, it makes your friend feel a little bit better about themselves because another person is doing the same thing. In the essence of this post, it's others that are dumping money into useless articles and keyword research and then expecting good results.

That, or this post was made to market your own content writing or keyword businesses found in the marketplace section. If I wanted to be a jack-ass, I would make 5-20 different blackhat accounts, age each one and occasionally comment on other's posts to build legitimacy, then I would start a "journey" and then link to my service 25% of the time while using my other accounts to encourage and back the services that the "journey account" mentions. If I wanted to be a super jack ass, I would do this with 100 accounts and build a community around myself.

    /rant over - Good luck

Thank you for your post dragiia.

I just want to make you aware that I am not under the impression this is guaranteed to make me 150 million pounds by tomorrow afternoon and in fact its fairly likely that I could do it all wrong and make no money at all. I want everyone to understand that I by no means pretend to be a master at outsourcing.

Now the way I look at this currently I have spent about £50 I would spend £100 in one night getting drunk and feeling rough for the next few days, I imagine this case study is going to cost me around £200-300 so 3-4 nights of getting drunk in my eyes! My reasons for doing this is that I do not have the time do to the work myself otherwise I would and its also a case study to see if it can be done, I'm not completely ignorant in the way that I have no clue I've been around the IM world for quite sometime and put into practice at various firms techniques that I have learnt and have managed to climb the SEO ladder using those techs.

However I completely agree with you if you don't have the money to lose don't play the game, I do not want anyone to copy me with the notion that this is going to generate them 1000s and that its a fool proof method (thats the point of this journey to see if it will work:)).

Also just so everyone is aware I currently run no service or anything like that and I am literally just looking at services that are currently here on BHW and looking to use them to fill the gaps. So I am noway affiliated with any of the services that I will be posting in this journey thread (other than the fact that I will probably be using their services).

    Thanks again for your post.

    Cheers

    @Dragila

    Here's my view on outsourcing:

Personally I outsource some of my work since I
a: don't have enough time to spend writing content or building tons web 2.0's, ...
& b: there are a lot of aspects to ranking a website, and even though I'm quite skilled at building sites for ex., I am not as experienced at keyword research as let's say Ardley or link building as some as the other providers here.
So outsourcing these time-consuming / difficult tasks to people more skilled alows me to create better, more profitable sites.

If you have both tools and time to invest into learning all these trades, by all means do; but there's a lot to learn if you want to do it all by yourself; and with limited time to invest you won't be able to truly specialize in anything. I personally prefer to learn one skill at a time and try to master it before moving on to the next.

Hi Guys, while I am waiting for the keywords to be delivered I think I have settled on two writing services.I think for this case study I am going to go with 500 word articles as I am hoping in the fact that Ardleys keywords are gong to rock like so many people have said before and hopefully will be relatively easy to rank and wont need tons of content.

http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...h-money-site-quality-content-6-500-words.html * I am going to opt for the magazine article which is $12 per article and go for 5 of these for a total of $60

    and

http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...-uniquecontentfactory-com-bonus-articles.html * This is currently a minimum order of 5 articles so I am going to go for that minimum and thats $5 per 500 word article for a total of $25

Lets see how the lower article writer fairs against the more expensive and in the future see how each set of articles are ranking!

    Cheers for now

Right got the Keywords from Ardley now! Wooo. First impressions the way that ardley has laid the keywords out within the spread sheet is amazing! Its so easy and clear to see what your keywords are how hes working out the profit etc. Ardley has over-delivered which is awesome so I have 15 Keys words!!! By Ardleys calculations I could make (if each keyword becomes top I assume) a whopping $11,000 each year from these keywords. Now I am pretty sure I wont get that much just because I am not 100% confident in my outsourcing prowess (in other words ill probably f some stuff up) however its nice to know that if I can get the keywords to the top I may well have the ability to earn quite a bit each month from these low hanging fruit keywords.

On the content side I have got 5 articles ordered from http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...-uniquecontentfactory-com-bonus-articles.html so hopefully have those soon.

I am now in search of a domain now I have the keywords so I am thinking about following the method thats basically search on expireddomains.net and grab a domain from there so it has a bit of age and maybe a dash of DA and PA. Unless anyone knows of a great domain finding bst?

Well thats all for now just an update of the costs:

    Current Costs
    15 Keywords: $80
    5 Articles: $25

    Earnings: $0

    Cheers
