My Amazon Affiliate ONLY website | How to Improve for a Noob

Hello BHW!

I am new to the community so please excuse me if I do anything wrong when it comes to the formalities of the forum.

I started my journey in IM about 6 months ago. So far I have created 2 websites. One is a personal blog the other is my Niche Amazon Affiliate Site. The niche site is only 1 month old and as of right now is making $0 profit. My niche, as I soon realized, isn't very niche to begin with. My site is about Smart Technology products. I chose it as it was something I was pretty interested in. I did little to no research and just went with it. The domain name was overall a very bad choice of words. (I wanna share the url but I am not sure if that is a safe thing to do here...)

After going all in, I spent around $100 on themes and plugins. I tried to improve visibility of the site in the search engines by writing blog posts and creating social media accounts for the site. The end result was positive but small and non-lasting.

I know I have a lot of ways to go by writing tons more blog posts (maybe outsourcing to BHW), building a following on IG, FB, and PN, and just telling everyone I know about it by word of mouth.

I feel like I learned a lot from this experience that I could easily start over with a niche that is backed by keyword research with tons of potential. I know that I can't rely only on Amazon Affiliates and Adsense. Therefore ...

My real question is this:
Should I continue to pursue a dead end of a website? Should I try to sell it off?

Go for really Low Comp Keywords at first, to get instant organic traffic, even if it's 1click a day. Write more content and you build authority and easy to rank keywords start adding up and suddenly, you have 100 UV a day. Then target bigger keywords, and just keep on doing this. But I suggest using allintitle:*keyword* and allinurl:*keyword* to see competition. I target keywords that have 0 of these both and forum posts are the only thing showing up on google. You can get away with like 300 words of content on these searches and you will be instantly ranking. If you want more info, PM me.
