Hello guys, this is my first journey here.
I will be focusing on earning money with the Amazon Affiliate program since I wanted to do this time ago but never started.
You know, you always think "it's too late", "I can't do it", "It's saturated" etc.. at the beginning, but I realized it's never too late, there is always a chance and a piece of the cake.

Quick background about me
I'll keep it short: I'm pretty lazy and inconsistent, but it's time to change, I want to change my life and have success into IM.
I'm a 20 years old guy from Italy, going to university but I don't like it, it's too difficult and I don't like my life, struggling with symptoms of depression, that's why I want to change it.
I have to work hard and also to change my mind and thoughts, I'm already working on it but need to do better: quit gaming (at least until I have stable passive income), stop wasting time and working hard on my success.

I have many skills in the IT field, a bit of programming, web designing and photoshop skills, and general knowledge about pretty everything.
I already earn 100$-200$ per month selling various digital things, but that's not enough also because it's active and not stable income.
My goal is to achieve financial freedom and travel around the world, being my own boss.

My plans
I want to reach at least 300$-500$ per month before August and scale up to 1K$ per month before the end of the year.
It may sound crazy, I don't have much experience with SEO and IM but I have read and watched lots of content and videos, I need to apply my knowledge and make experience.

I started the website like 1 month ago, at the beginning of March, after 1 intense week of choosing my niche and doing keywords research, the free but manual, hard way.
I took a home/kitchen niche with 3k-8k searches per month. I used free tools so I'm not sure.

What I've done so far:
  • Bought hosting + .com domain for 1 year (around 60$)
  • Built the website, installed WP and a good theme for Amazon Affiliate websites (I don't remember the name of the theme right now).
  • Installed some useful plugins like Yoast.
  • Written the "about" page
  • Currently writing the "buyer's guide", a big post with at least 1,500 words
It took me so much time cause as said I'm lazy and I get bored easily, but now I'm tired of all of this and I want to take action seriously.

TO-DO
There's so much work to do, but that's what I planned:
Phase 1
  • Write at least 3 product reviews per week, 500-800 words for each product
  • Optimize them by adding HD stock images and in-page SEO
  • Install all necessary plugins
  • Write a total of 10-15 product reviews and 2 "best" articles with 1,500+ words each.
Phase 2
  • Unblock robots.txt and get the site indexed by Google (will use webmaster tools and other sh+t)
  • Google analytics and other similar tools to analyze traffic on my site
  • Apply to Amazon affiliate
Phase 3
  • Continue to write product reviews
  • Creating social profiles
  • Link building, the white hat way (via forums, blog comments etc..)
  • Write "how to" and informational articles
Phase 4
At this point, I think I should already have reached my goal of 1K$ per month, but I still want to scale and improve.
  • Create an email list. Will try to get users' emails by incentive way (like offering an ebook). Will send them emails about new "how to" articles or special offers.
  • Sell the website / Build another one
Goals
Hope to reach these soon :p
  1. 50$/month
  2. 200$/month
  3. 500$/month
  4. 1,000$/month
  5. Ford Mustang Eleanor 1967 (joking, maybe in some years!)
My journey begins
So I decided to start this thread about my journey for many reasons: keep me motivated, share my experiences, keep track of my steps, and maybe inspire others to follow their plans and take action.

I will follow daily routines, plan my days, respect deadlines and most importantly I will succeed!

"If he can do it, so can I"

"The hardest walk you can make, is the walk you make alone, but that is the walk that makes you the strongest."

Thanks for reading if you did, I just wanted to write my thoughts and keep myself motivated.
See you!

good luck..I tried blocking robot.txt once for a site

when I unblocked it , it took ages for my site to get indexed

I am trying something similar in a different niche, I think your goals are very reasonable. I wish you the best

Good luck on your journey. Don't worry about how many pages your site has just get it indexed.

Seems like you have a solid plan. Good Luck! I'm also trying to focus and start an Amazon Journey. Any tips for choosing a Niche?

Thank you! I'd say search on Flippa, Amazon sub-niches and do some keyword research about small niches. There are a lot of niches to choose from, but it's hard to choose one xD
So just pick one that you feel comfortable about and has high priced products on Amazon.

Will send you a PM then.
Good plan just stick to it.

I hope you will succeed. Good luck with your plan.
Thanks!

Small update
I have written 3 product reviews, around 450 words each. I don't know how to make them longer, maybe because this niche has not so much to write about lol.
I'm using Yoast + Grammarly plugins to write high-quality and SEO friendly reviews without grammar mistakes.
However I'm still learning, I'm not an expert writer but I will improve over time.

I'm waking up at around 6 a.m. in the morning, do some stretching and then try to write some product reviews.
I will stick to a fixed routine, waking up early in the morning gives you some extra time. Also to mention: quit gaming for more extra time :p
So far I'm into my weekly deadline, I got 3 product reviews but I will try to write 1 per day and 2 or 3 on Sundays.

Will update in few days.
Take action and never surrender!

Good luck! Stick to your structure and you will achieve your goals easily.

Good luck with your journey but I would suggest you to check out your competitors first to get content idea and the length, for niche sites, its always good to keep the length at-least >1000 words IMO

My suggestion

Check your top 1-3 competitions in your niche and find

1. What kind of keywords do they use and how about keyword strength.
2. What format of content and word count do they use.
3. What technique do they build link (guest post, skyrocket, broken link, blog comment)
4. How many pages do they have?
5. Check their site structure.
