my 12 year old son wants to join

my 12 year old son wants to join BHW. Im really surprised he asked my permission. also Im really not sure I want him to know what dads been up to , although hes been checking it out anyway. wtf

Let them, I joined the site back in July of 08, 4 months after I turned 12 and haven't looked back since. Gives a great new perspective as to what else there is in the world besides having a "normal job".

not a bad idea. theres money to be made. plus hes 12, not at the age where he has to start paying rent. if he was 18 or 20, id say tell him to get a job, and just study this stuff. alot of ppl quit their jobs for stay-at-home work, which isnt a bad idea but this stuff takes time and way too much prep work. for him to be 12 and interested, by the time hes 18 he will probably be making crazy bank. or at least for his age.

Oh, and tell him. When he turns BLACK he will never go BACK.@SEORocks. wow! You are doing great!

LOL you could just start him out on DP and let him run in circles for a while, then when you think he is old enough let him join here.

Also if you think he will be really into IM at some point in his teens, just be warned his grades will most likely drop. I started IM when I was in the 8th grade and it really killed my grades through high school. It was just hard to take school seriously after a while knowing all about it. I just couldn't help but think while I was in school "WTH am I doing here? I could be making money!" or "Why should I do my Homework when I could be optimizing websites!"

I don't know if you think that that is a good or bad problem to have, but my parents certainly didn't like it when I brought home $500 in my paypal account, and my grades came in the next day and they werent too pretty.

Just my thoughts

If I didn't start with IM, my grades would never be as they are now, as I got better in IM I got more interest in Informatics, Economics, Science, Language, Business!!

My grades would have been A LOT lower if I hadn't...

just another story
