my 12 year old son wants to join BHW. Im really surprised he asked my permission. also Im really not sure I want him to know what dads been up to , although hes been checking it out anyway. wtf

Let him start early, so he can see there's another life out there besides what there gonna teach him at school

LOL you could just start him out on DP and let him run in circles for a while, then when you think he is old enough let him join here.
Also if you think he will be really into IM at some point in his teens, just be warned his grades will most likely drop. I started IM when I was in the 8th grade and it really killed my grades through high school. It was just hard to take school seriously after a while knowing all about it. I just couldn't help but think while I was in school "WTH am I doing here? I could be making money!" or "Why should I do my Homework when I could be optimizing websites!"
I don't know if you think that that is a good or bad problem to have, but my parents certainly didn't like it when I brought home $500 in my paypal account, and my grades came in the next day and they werent too pretty.

actually Im kind of proud of him to be able to choose the correct starting point . I remember all the time and money I wasted til I found this place. Hes already smarter than me
Let him learn as long as his grades stay good. I have taught my 14 and 16 year old how to make money online. They both each have a website that profits them about $1,000 a week and I tell them that if their grades drop, I will stop letting them work.
All their friends lifeguard or work somewhere during the summer time but I let them work all year long. A few hours each week is all they need to work.
They can buy just about anything they want and pay cash.
They both want to be an attorney and I told them college is still important. I do not want them to be without plan B if for some reason they cannot scale up or if the Internet business dies.
I have done my job teaching them to this point, if they want more they must find the time to read and learn as I will always be here to answer any questions they may have.
So I say, let him join and be supportive BUT make it clear what the rules are from day one.
If it does for you what it did for me, you will find yourself getting even closer than you thought possible to your son.

i started as well when i was 13 Years old i think you can allow me to use it from your acc for now 
I don't think I'd let my children start that early. I started young too, and I'm glad I did, but looking back, I wish I'd spent that time with more sports, outgoing, having fun etc.
They should be glad that they have a dad like you, who's into IM and willing to teach them. But grades and money aren't everything, a childhood which you won't regret having is more important.
I'd get my children started late in high school or in college to help them pay for their college, beer-money, dates etc. and then scale up from there, but definitely not at that young a age.

First thing first, you need to know what is good for him
Look first if there are no problems with school and homework because school is in my opinion the best start a kid can make.
If there are no problems let him build his first site and let it run for a while.
After a couple of weeks you check his schoolwork again, if it is still good you let him go otherwise you tell him that you will take away his site for a couple of weeks until his school work is back to normal.
