The rationale for this is obvious: better rankings.

How do you guys manage acquiring 5-10 ips in terms of hosting?
Do you have multiple accounts with cheap shared hosting?
Do you have one host who offers multiple IPs?

How much are you paying to put each blog on it's own ip?

I'd like to start doing this myself, so any insight or direction is appreciated.

I think that there are a couple of different MU coops that are going on now that can help with having blogs/links on different ips.
