Hi Guys,

Putting together a project for the UK and when successful I will be rolling out the site/ content to other regions both English and Non English speaking regions.

What would you suggest is the best option;
  1. Site with translation sub-domains.
  2. Site with translation plugin (ugh, but had to ask).
  3. Separate site for each region with content professionally translated.
My gut feeling is for #3 as I feel it would provide a better user experience and the region specific TLD may improve CTR/ visitor trust.

@pj777777

It all depends on how you are measuring success of the project.
- Sales?
- Conversions?
- SERP Ranking?
- Email Signups?

Your answer for #3 would make sense if you are focused on UX and making it localized for that market.
Versus some gigantic site where customers have to choose a dropdown list of 120 languages.

Good luck!

Cheers @Bluemaple #3 kinda works for me.
