All my MU blogs got G slapped pretty at the same time.

I removed all footprints which are linking to my main wpmu page like blogroll etc.

But still, when I look onto my client pages, there remains that:
    <style type="text/css" media="screen">@import url( http://MYDOMAIN.info/wp-content/themes/inove/style.css );</style>

Is it safe when that snippet remains?

Somehow I do something wrong. Mostly when I ask something, I get 0 replies.

Anyhow, yeah the location of scripts like stylesheets "could" be used for footprinting but it's not the best indicator. Many sites call code from other domains, for example my forum uses Yahoo to serve minified JS.

There's a big list of stuff that are bigger footprints like wp-register.php, Adsense/Analytics, Whois Info, Common Backlink Sources etc etc.

Thanks, sweet, I would be your first customer :)

Yes, right, it seems only minor. But on the other hand: if the url points to the same ip and moreover it is a little stinky site, it could hurt? I don't know certainly, that's why I ask. Anyhow, I think, there is not one footprint, in contrast, G determines most probable basing on statistical calculations if a site is spam or not.

Adsense is certainly a big footprint, this is possibly the reason for the slap in my case. All sites showing same adsense code, this cannot be good. I wonder if ads from other networks have the same effect? Would it make sense to remove the adsense code and give my sites the chance to revitalize?

Darn, my splog empire is dead before it had a chance to make me rich :)

I wonder if a plug-in could be made that would allow you to automatically change any aspect of a wpmu install, so as to remove all footprints?
