I've signed up with microsoft ppc, got my account activated, setup my campaign, targeted around 40 moderate keywords and set the bidding high as a start.

I still, even after one whole day, haven't received other than two impressions... I typed in one of my keywords and my site was at the very top position. Question: Is msn always like this? Very low traffic?

One of the first things you should do before you start a campaign is the keyword research. you should know how many hits the keywords you're targetting are getting per day before you begin.

in your case it's probably not getting searched at all.

I've done keyword research... it is getting a good number of searches.. i'm not a newbie.. I'm a good ppc marketer... but I have only worked with adwords... there must be something wrong in my settings with msn.

msn is quite good. they have over a million searches a day. take a look at the keywords and then try again

Ok, just found out that the campaign was paused... lol... it was active when I was playing around with it and testing to see if it shows up.. however, it somehow paused or I paused it and forgot.

I get more traffic through adwords but msn doesnt seem to bad even though it gets alot less traffic. I find it converts well compared to adwords for some strange reason

A lot less tech savvy users, I think (windows users who just use the default homepage on IE). I've noticed the same thing, and that's the only explanation that comes to mind.
