MS dead

With every tv and radio station saying "like us on FB," "follow us on twitter," people have somewhat forgotten MS. FB's in the top 10 at alexa, whereas MS is somewhere in th top 50; still more than the millions of other sites, but not where it once was.

there will always be ways to make money on it as long as it's a top 100 site

MS is dead, I have some Ent accounts on there, and after checking recently I noticed they changed the whole a thing up, now it's junky and confusing, I guess for music folks it's cool, but really I think it's just a waste of time and space. Don't shoot me just my opinion.

Myspace killed themselves. Should have made it into a place to truly discover new music by giving bands incentives and their own stores and It could have took itunes. Sad mess.

MS is not really dead yet but not worthy of a dedicated sub-forum at BHW, just saying :P

I don't use MS to make money per se. It is a form of referral for me, as I have gotten traffic from this site.

Some members have brought up a great general point from the MySpace topic: Following the rest of the crowd is not always the best thing and often will not get you the best results when it comes to Internet marketing. While it is true that MySpace is nowhere near what it was in terms of membership or profitability, I have to give props to those members who are still making it work for them as a revenue source. This method does not sound easy, and their success is proof of innovation's importance. Taking a platform that seems dated to many people and reworking it takes plenty of creativity and thinking far outside the box.

I dont think Myspace will last much longer tbh, You dont even hear or see anyone mentioning it now (even bands) they all just push their twitter/facebook profiles now.

Okay here is my question. Why are celebrities, artist and Actors
paying good money to Advertise on myspace if there was not some
benefit? So there must be some pulse right?

u gotta good point there, big artist still update their pages but as in indie artist its kinda pointless now since my friends arent on there
but facebook aint much better cuz ppl aint really check for ya music on facebook lol

MS was dead a year after facebook was lunched already.
But honestly it was never really "alive" in my opinion, even at it best, it doesn't even reach the toes of facebook.

people still use myspace? what ever floats your boat if your makin $$$ can't complain ah
