Moving to Thailand. Haters gonna hate

Pattaya is a shit hole full of creeps and sex tourists.

Chaing Mai on the other hand is beautiful. I highly recommend. Very sleepy and quiet at times.

Coming from a Western country, I think after a 6 months has passed you'll be begin to get a bit bored with Thailand though.

Good luck, keep us updated.

Drop by Singapore and have some fun too! Thailand is awesome but also remember to check out some other countries in the region too!

Hahah i think Chaing Mai is nice but the expats that live there have a stick up there xxx. Sure they are a few creepy guys in Pattaya but it is close to Bangkok and it is sunny most of the time. Just stay away from the center of Pattaya, i lived in Phuket for two year and the mafia have to much control in there. Bangkok is dirty and when you run you come back with black smog inside the nose. After 10 years i picked Pattaya for now but thinking of moving out to the country side when the INTERNET get more stable.

fair play to you man, im moving out to haad rin at the end of the year. Managed to secure a resident DJ spot at one of the full moon party bars. (while still banking of course!) Been to SEA for about 6 months before. loved it.

Visited Bangkok last year, traffic can be a mess. You might try the mass transit instead in the city.

good luck mate -

send me a post card from there please:) - oh btw watch out for the lady boys:-p

[FONT=verdana, arial, sans-serif]Wow I never knew people who's threads I read & liked might be living next door lol.

Thailand is fabulous, Thailand is amazing, Thailand is not what you read or watch on the Internet or on the television, Thailand is expensive, not all Thai girls are hookers it's just the same as you would have in any other country; it might just be a little more 'visible', life in Thailand is how you want it to be.. Just please don't be like that large group of foreigners that I see come everyday sit in Gogo bars with singha beer in their hands, I know this has messed up lots of lives and broke good families. Stay away from the soi 4 life(there's good American burgers @ the tavern in soi 4 though). I know those who live here know exactly what I'm talking about everything here. I'm a party person but I stay away(read AWAY) from the above mentioned life.

I'm off to the Londoners @ soi 33 now. Have a good day & good luck.

Btw Xenix9's post..that is correct..not the other one.
Cheers

What about your friends and family you have here?

Dont forget to get drunk on khao san every night. lol
Just stay away from the ping pong shows. A lot of scammers there.

Whats up Blackhatters

I booked a one way ticket from Toronto to Thailand for oct 4th and I'm super stoked.

My plans are to continue with my jiu jitsu and mauy thai training down there while maintaining the cashflow from beaches and other ballerific locations.

Plans are to spend the first month in Bangkok then head out to Tiger Maui Thai in phuket for 2 months and train my ass off. After gonna do a visa run and maybe check out chang mai for a bit then decide if i wanna stay in chang mai, go back to phuket or return to Bangkok.

Making this thread to get some tips anyone has thats been there or currently lives there as well as possible meeting up with blackhatters down there.

Cheers :cool::cool:

Dude kick the shit out of those palm trees until your shins lose all feeling(kill the nerves) and build up that scar tissue. You'll get your legs conditioned to chop people down. Mui Tai Training is some serious shit. I've always loved the sport. I grew up watching real foreign fighters duke it out in private matches with my dad. Almost like bloodsport but without the death..lol. Enjoy it! You're going on a trip of a lifetime! Most people would love to do what you're going to do.

Been to Phuket and Pataya and it's a great place to visit but there's only so much pussy and thai stick you can handle and then you need a break.

you can get 2 (60 days) tourist visas for 2.000 baht in the thai embassy in Vientiane Laos, when the visa from your country expires.
