Moving from PPC to SERPs

Hey guys, I've had an eCommerce store since 2013. About 75% of our traffic was PPC and it's just not affordable anymore...even with optimizing the crap out of my campaigns I'm just over breaking even.

We switched to a heavy content strategy about 6 months ago and started pumping out quality articles. We have 38 articles so far.. About 25% are in the top 10 and 50% are top 25, but the others aren't ranking and haven't really moved.

I know I need a backlink strategy and I'm just sick of hearing post shareable content. Sure, in an ideal world all my posts would go viral and I'd get a ton of links...yeah right.

SEO is great and you shouldn't put it on the site even you'd only do the PPC
But the fact that PPC is not working means that either your product is not good, or the PPC campaigns, which I assume

Good PPC campaigns can bring over 10x ROAS

The products are great and the PPC is as optimized as I can get. The problem? We are competing against the manufacturer(s) of each product and they have a lot more room to drive up cost per click. Not a winning situation.

What kind of Presence does your store already have? What channels is your customer base most engaged on? making guest posts on other blogs can bring in quality traffic. You could also pay smaller niche influencers to cross promote your content (as long as they are not in the crypto space/ those guys want an arm and a leg for a dam tweet).

Pinterest has started to become a decent source of traffic for us as well...we've really put in a lot of work to build out that channel.

I know I need to build links to various "money" pages that we're ranking in the 7-8 spot for...that could jump to the 2-3 spot with back links.

Gotcha what niche are you in btw? it'd be easier to help you with that in mind. For sure people on here sell backlinks.

Things you need to find out before you buy

Are their backlinks niche specific
What sites are they linking you to
How good are these backlinks ( using the alexa backlink tool helps)
Ask if you can order small amounts or provide a test batch for your first time. That way you dont get alot of shit links and you can measure their quality.
