Moving everything away from US

You guys should really forget about Netherlands. Don't make the mistake to think the Netherlands have wishy washy laws because they allow their citizens to smoke weed.
And as a side note, don't ever think about Germany. We have tougher laws here than the US. It always amazes me to read that people set up a VPS in Germany, I guess they just don't realize what laws we have here.

how is the site BS? when in many of those countries US can't touch people such as Russia, :rolleyes: Someone has a attitude today
 
I think moving away from US is a very good action. So the us 0 tech knowladge available politics and greedy companies would see the harm that they make themselves. US need to understand that they are not the owner of the world.

If you piss off enough people and are not a citizen of that country,Russia will just throw you under the bus for political reasons,just like any other country.
 
For the record, I saw this. Have the UK deemed these sites as legal? just the law is so sketchy here....

Actually Russia is pretty cool, I use to live there ok, I think it is more free then US in some aspects then other, of course as long as you don't piss the Government there, No one will fuck you ok :D Russians fight US moves tooth and nail, so I highly doupt they will take a individual down for politcal reasons,

Russia doesn't "fight" the US because they're some sort of believer in freedom and justice for all, they do it because the leaders are power hungry.

It doesn't make sense to say you're free as long as you don't piss of the government. You could say that about any country.

You misunderstood what I said, pifff I said Russia may not be free, but it is hell more free for internet as long as you don't piss people off, and even the Oppoisiton in the country are Nationalists, Facisits, Anarchist, liberals only make 1 percent in Russia,So yeah Russia has issues, but Russia is like a the cool guy , as long as you don't piss him, he will be cool with you, while US is like a strict Mom who controls you but gives you the illusion of freedom, take a look at recent US laws to know this,

Russia is the shady guy who pretends to be your friend as long as it suits him and he can use you for his own benefit.

UK is like your big brother who means well, but he's a bit of a dork and ends up making your life a PITA.

US is like the hot cheerleader who'll fuck you senseless and make you happy until you find out she's a psycho.

Forget about what I'm running. It's irrelevant. What's relevant is that I'm a UK citizen and I live by UK laws and I don't want to be sent to US because I broke one of their laws. I pay attention to UK laws and US laws should be none of my business. I'm just making sure that's the case and they can't touch me. OK, does not matter. I'm here to find good hosts, not explain myself to everyone. It's my own business at the end of the day.

As long as you dont do anything to put yourself in their jurisdiction,you wont have to worry about it.
 
One close friend, an attorney, is searching out the few places (island nations and small former Eastern block countries) left on planet earth where Uncle Sammy cannot (yet?) extricate anyone from because of no extradition treaty, and that have western-quality Internet connections, stable banking, low cost of entry and easy to meet requirements to get a passport.
 
My poorest clients are Americans. Harrods sells toilet tissue that is more expensive to wipe your bottom with than $1 bills :P 90% of growth over the next lifetime will be non-usa .. so what's to worry about? USA is wishing to close itself down to preserve it's 'Oxygen' so to speak. Russia makes sense, but then Germany's Human Rights are rather awesome ... you see the WWII victors forced upon them the world's most perfect democracy (err who won the war? lol) ... Russia has no laws and China is planning to Nuke America at some point in the not so distant future, I'm told. Gut feeling Deutschland. Gotta love everything Made In Germany. [I'm a Brit by the way and not traditionally pro German. I am though a believer in meritocracy]

I now feel that there is a need - vacuum in the system that needs to be filled. Alternative search that would index what google doesnt, sites that can hide from the government prying eyes,etc...

Yeah - get a grip. For 99% of you this will not have the slightest effect ever.

If your business depends on sharing copyright material I'd be a little more careful. Even then if it isn't big business full on commercial stuff your pinching I wouldn't be too worried.

By all means make a statement and shift stuff. Show those looking to make the laws that they are asses - but then heads down, take 10% extra care - and get on with making money.

All this crap is detracting from the real reason we are here.
