Moving everything away from US

Forget about what I'm running. It's irrelevant. What's relevant is that I'm a UK citizen and I live by UK laws and I don't want to be sent to US because I broke one of their laws. I pay attention to UK laws and US laws should be none of my business. I'm just making sure that's the case and they can't touch me. OK, does not matter. I'm here to find good hosts, not explain myself to everyone. It's my own business at the end of the day.

Ehehe. I only speak the way I do because at first you were saying you're completely whitehat, but still worried about the US gov. I'm just saying you're not whitehat, which is completely fine, especially since we're on bhw. :-)

But there's no point pretending you are whitehat/legit. Even if *technically* you're not breaking any UK laws, you're still borderline even in the UK.

I'm also saying you should be careful, because even if you've got a .eu domain and are hosted in europe you're still pirating stuff belonging to US companies, and your traffic will be US. You're also probably monetizing with a US affiliate company, so that's something else to be aware of.

If they really want to get you they can. It's probably just time to get out the pirating game. There's a million ways to make money out there that won't land you in a US jail.

Ya youre right there are many more (Verizon, AT&T, Qwest, Level 3, Sprint Nextel, cable companies, smaller players), however Verizon and AT&T have the largest piece.

And if they keep gobbling up other smaller companies, they just keep getting more. But im sure it will be fine, they wont be able to get it all, or even a majority, to really cause any monopolistic damage or control.

Then you also got to look at who owns, Europe, Asia, africa, south america, etc.

The network is probably too large and complex to really worry about that i suppose.

Having worked on the backbone myself and built (with a team of course) the cellular network for Telus and Rogers in canada, Ive seen the insane complexity of the entire system here in canada. Funny thing is it wouldnt take much to take it all down. Luckily im not someone who would.

Does anyone miss the good ol days of BBS's ???

Funny you should mention the days of BBS's. I ran one for 5+ years and it was some of the best times I ever had. So yes, I do miss those early days before the internet took them out of the picture.

If the laws they are trying to pass is unconstitutional?then fight back. Government is a servant of its people not the other way around. They are only responsible for protecting our liberties. But government is in bed with big business and only they(big business) benefits from these laws. With all the brain-power here and marketing skills I think we need to do a better job of educating people to revolt against their governments. By revolt I dont mean violence but an intellectual revolution. I find most people don't have any idea about the underlying agenda of these so-called laws. Really just need to follow the US constitution in the US?it's pretty clear the government has no business getting this involved in people's lives even if their intention is sincere. I think the younger generations have more of an understanding about this than the old farts.

This is a classical straw man argument. I run a 100% legit business in both UK and US. I don't even use BH methods. I worry about the future and completely different things.
