Moving a big audience from X to IG without triggering ban

So I'm managing a SFW account with over 50k followers on X but I never got around to move it to IG.

How safe would it be to move the audience from X to the brand new IG right after opening it? I'm worried getting a huge amount of followers right away might trigger the algorithm and get me banned, as the ban waves seem to be very regular recently, but posting such niche content to no one while warming it up might also ruin my reach in the long run so I'm a bit torned

I've moved audiences from one IG account to another but I feel like that's different because it's done through tagging the page itself.

Any tips?

Moving an audience from one platform to another is usually fine, the main thing that triggers issues is **sudden unnatural activity** like mass follows, automation, or aggressive growth patterns.
If it were me I’d warm up the new IG for a bit first with some normal posts and light activity, then start gradually mentioning it on X so the followers come in naturally instead of all at once.

Yea I'm not expecting even a third of the X followers to get on the IG account, but even 1 to 2k followers in a 24h span might be a bit dangerous.

I'm thinking about just mentioning the handle so people actually search for it on IG too, instead of linking the account and taking people directly there

Sending 50k to a day-0 IG is literal suicide rn. The algorithm will nuke it before you even refresh the page.
Just grab a cheap aged account (1yr+), warm it up for a week, and trickle the traffic from X slowly. And for the love of god, link a real physical number to the IG before the traffic spike hits, or you'll get stuck in phone verification hell.

dont move everyone at once. send them slowly over few weeks.

sudden spikes on new ig accounts can trigger flags.

I’d warm the IG account a bit first. Post some content for a few days and let it get normal activity before pushing your X audience there.

Sending a huge wave of followers to a brand‑new account can sometimes look suspicious to the algorithm.

After a week or so, start moving people gradually (posts, stories, pinned tweet on X). That’s usually safer.

If it comes organically from other platforms, Then nothing will happen.

Thats fine; giving a shoutout to your own page is fine; just make sure the content on Instagram is SFW; that is the vital part to note.

I wouldn’t send all 50k there right away. Warm it for about a week. Post 5 to 10 pieces first. Follow some accounts in the niche. Leave a few comments so the account looks active. Then start sending people from X slowly. For example day 1 just mention it in a tweet. Maybe a few hundred people come. A couple days later pin a tweet or post again. Let the growth look gradual instead of 10k followers overnight.
